This was the final stop on the Flaming Lips' successful attempt to set a Guinness World Record by playing concerts in eight different cities in 24 hours. The show sold out almost immediately. Grimes was the scheduled opener, but cancelled for unspecified reasons. Her name was still on the two hand-written chalk marquees outside the club, on the tickets printed up at will call that afternoon, and on the official tour t-shirt. MNDR played solo, for only about 15 minutes. She invited a guy and girl up onstage to dance during one song and crowd surfed during another. She played "#1 in Heaven" near the end. Not long after she finished, or maybe while she was still playing, the Stooges Brass Band began marching down Decatur Street towards the club, starting at or near Cafe Beignet, with Wayne Coyne on a small chariot or other moving vehicle. The members were all wearing Stooges Brass Band shirts. This little parade, known in New Orleans as a second Line, was unannounced; it was shown on all the TV monitors inside the HOB, so fans eventually figured out what was going on, and many went outside to watch. Coyne was interviewed for a while in 95º heat after arriving in front of the club.
Despite having played for only about 15 minutes at each of the previous seven stops due to time/travel constraints, the Flaming Lips played for about 75 minutes here. Their setlist:
