Description

Unapologetically political and passionate, Dick Gaughan is a Leith folk singer who has been a standard bearer for Scottish music for over 40 years. His 1981 album Handful of Earth was voted Album of the Decade for the 1980s in both Readers' and Critics' polls in Folk Roots magazine and his songs have been covered by Billy Bragg, Christy Moore, Mary Black, Roy Bailey and Capercaillie.

Dick was a founder member of Boys of the Lough, Five Hand Reel and Clan Alba, but now performs mainly as a solo artist. This is a rare chance to see close to his hometown with a full band - don't miss it.

"the kind of voice that could stop a train in its tracks" (The Independent)
"succeeded brilliantly in translating his ideas into music" (Sunday Herald)
