Description
At Mashed Potato, we haven’t been able to turn off Shrag’s first ‘proper’ album, ‘Life! Death! Prizes!’ since the Brighton gang sent it our way. It’s with great pleasure that we are able to bring them to Kraak for your listening pleasure – especially as they’re getting more used to playing big venues with the likes of The Cribs and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart these days.
Support comes from Sheffield’s Standard Fare, who, along with Shrag, were a highlight of this year’s Indietracks festival, and Nick Ellis, frontman of Liverpool stalwarts The Maybes and one of the city's most entertaining performers.
We’ve also enlisted the help of local indie ‘zine Pull Yourself Together, who’ll be bringing 7”s aplenty to keep the party going into Saturday morning.
Mashed Potato launches at Kraak, Stevenson Square (behind Hula), Manchester, on October 1st. Admission £5. Doors 9pm ‘til proper late.
