FUCK BUTTONS
Fuck Buttons was conceived by Andrew Hung & Benjamin John Power in the winter of 2004.
Initially the group was born as an outlet for their nihilistic-noise tendencies but quickly, the two Fuck Buttons realised they could harness the use of noise as a tool to immerse and evoke. No longer afraid of melody or rhythm, the group started fusing all these elements to the point when drone becomes melody becomes rhythm.
With their electric live performances sealing the notion that the two Fuck Buttons are attempting some kind of transcendence between the listener and the Universe itself, one could easily envisage one’s psyches being shaken by the very rumbles of the earth’s motions.
Tribal beats and subtle beautiful melodies weave amongst contorting Technicolor drone-scapes while preaching distorted-vocals scream for dear hope herself… Fuck Buttons straddle you between the wall of sound that lies between the beginning of destruction and the end of birth. This grand noise will fondle you into a state of immersed euphoria.
Fuck Buttons offer up everything from subtle found electronics to washes of blistering drone from tinkling pianos to hypnotic tribal percussive rhythms from voice-induced animalistic sounds to distorted thrashing vocals. At times, Fuck Buttons are attempting, and frequently achieving, some kind of transcendence between the listener and the Universe itself.
The band have gone from strength to strength this year with the release of ‘Street Horrrsing’ to mass acclaim, touring extensively in the UK and US including numerous festival appearances including ATP vs Pitchfork, Summer Sundae, Primavera Sound, Green Man, Lowlands, Roskilde, Supersonic and Pukkelpop.

ZUN ZUN EGUI
Zun Zun Egui hail from Bristol but are from everywhere. They make a hypnotic blare-out sound that is making a joyful noise. Very on the corner, off its head and a blast. This is “tropicalism” but with an influence of subterranean shaped rock edges and quick edits, Japanese progressive epicness and a heavy dose of Fela Kuti inspired eternal groove. East African guitar practise hotwired to Zappa-like subversions and underpinned by a thumping rhythm section sounds hot. This is where the wild music lives on. Political, inspirational and dance floor friendly.
