i wouldn't say i'm a mega fan of Hot Rod Circuit but it was painful to see them live just before they were gunna break up, pretty sure their record label forced them to tour aus with paramore and they weren't too happy with that or eachother. I'm sure an U18 Say Anything show would be full of douches but the SW crowd was freaking awesome, i tell ya! I'm pretty lucky to have seen a lot of my fave bands but i'm slowly falling out of the scene for example right now I'm contemplating whether to buy tix to paramore when a couple of years ago i wouldn't have even had to think about it but there is no way i'll miss soundwave, i'll still be going to that when i'm eighty :D

They definitely won't let you down. They were crazy-good at Soundwave, you know when the aussie crowds goes crazy for a band, well this was 10x better with the crowd singing along to every single lyric. I was loving it from barrier and I even scored a guitar pick and a wave from Max before their set! What have been you fave live bands?

yeah i spent about a week in san francisco, and loved every minute of it. i can see why it's such a desirable city to live in! i'm actually planning on going there for a couple of days later this year -heading back to long beach for 2.5 weeks over halloween to visit friends etc and hopefully will stop by in san fran and maybe seattle while i'm there. all depends on money.

haha yeah when i was there i was tempted to get a drivers license so i could have the whole two IDs thing.. but then i figured i could do more fun things with my time. plus, it was always fun having the bouncers or whatever go "but 13 isn't a month...?" "in NZ we do day first" and the look of confusion. i did an exchange through college, so spent a year in Long Beach going to school.. was amazing. i can see how cornfields could get boring though!!

US and NZ citizenship huh.. you're living my dream! i spent a year in socal and i would love to live there again, so much fun + warm! and yes, i surely was at the new found glory show. i'd been wanting to see them for ages so was really excited that day haha.

have you heard of the soundwave festival in Australia? it reached 40 degrees at the first one i ever went to and i managed to survive that so i'm hoping i can survive warped to haha. i'm happy they moved the venue, i like the powerstation alot more than that other venue.

ive got the florida demos.. basically the only thing i don't have from that list is the dormroom demos, will get it tonight and check it out. thrice.. well it depends what you like haha. my favourite album is the illusion of safety, but theyre new stuff is so different. vheissu is quite good too.

you know i thought i had all of their old demos but just checked and i dont have that song so a link would be much appreciated! thrice are always my number one band, but say anything is a close second. very close.

woe is one of my favourite say anything songs for sure, so good! i definitely agree with the emotion being a lot more raw and meaningful (to my life) in his IARB songs, but i think the s/t is a nice change -- i enjoy it more than probably half of in defense. in saying that, even the say anything songs i don't love as much are still better than a lot of songs by other bands.

ive been so tempted to do his song shop when he has it open, but i dont have anything exciting enough for him to write about/for me to spend $150 or whatever it was. and i love the new album, is a real boy is still my favourite but the s/t is almost as good.

haha weird! i only ended up buying a ticket to NFG at the door but i'm glad i decided to go i enjoyed them alot more this time but i was pretty disappointed with the crowd number, we have such bad promoters here. i can't wait for saosin! i'm more excited for blessthefall though haha, and sadly i'm not going to passion pit anymore :(
