told you! ;) yeah, definitely their worst...I happy for those bright moments (charlie brown) but they can do better, we all know it! i'm afraid the best part of their career is gone forever, though. they will be remembered for a rush of blood to the head they caused me back in 2002, i'll never forget that (L) hahahaha :D oh yes, hopefully i'll graduate next year (i mean this academic year) but i wanna go on studying, that's for sure! i was in Málaga (in the very south of Spain)..i had such a great time! and i saw my favourite spanish band live, that was one of the highlights. i'm glad you're doing so well :-) keeping studying is the best thing one can do in these uncertain times haha i'm gonna do the same thing xD keep it up!

hey marco!!! oh yes, long time, no talk! i’m really fine, back home after my erasmus stay in spain ;) you? how have you been? about the mylo xyloto thing (what a stupid name, btw. although i always have the the suspicion that chris martin isn't the smartest guy in music industry xD)...i think it's their worst album but still a decent one. definitely very "easy-listening", which doesn't have to be a bad thing. my favorites so far are "mylo xyloto + hurts like heaven", "a hopeful transmission + don't let it break your heart" and especially "charlie brown", this one is a pure love! :) the rest is just…okay. oh and that rihanna duet is a total disaster :P so give it more listens and then tell me what you think!

ja beirut war live eher entäuschend, zu beginn kam gleich nantes natürlich mit tonschwierigkeiten so dass das lied kaum wahrnehmbar ist (ist eins meiner lieblingslieder von ihnen) auch das publikum war eher desinteressiert obwohl sie sich während des auftritts steigerten. wenn haldern weiter in die richtung folk marschiert und ein ähnliches lineup 2011 hinzaubert bin ich definitiv auch wieder dabei, war von der atmosphäre eins der schöneren festivals, vor allem das zelt muss man erlebt haben in was promovierst du denn? gruß

beirut habe ich nicht gesehen war bier trinken am zelt! :) mumford sons waren sehr schön! the national waren besoffen .. am besten hat mir dan deacon gefallen! bear in heaven waren auch interessant beach house auch sehr schön.. fand dieses spiegelzelt echt toll!

Klaxons waren sehr laut und der Bass war übel, aber als man sich dran gewöhnt hatte, war es einfach nur super. Selten auf Konzerten so abgegangen. Portugal.the man waren toll! Was ein Pech, dass du die verpasst hast :) Fanfarlo fand ich auch ganz gut, The Drums noch besser. Bombay Bicycle Club waren auch ein Highlight. Und Jamie T überraschend gut...

Ja, die neue Arcade Fire ist wirklich wirklcih... ich finde keine Worte :) Leider kommen sie nicht nach HH... 80 windows ist das schönste Lied überhaupt... Nur deswegen hab ich die 3 Tage Omas Teich Zelten in Kauf genommen ;) Beat!Beat!Beat! leider verpasst. Aber Fettes Brot waren überaschenderweise super gut! Darf man so was auf last.fm schreiben, wenn man "indie" hört? ;-) Kettcar dagegen mäßig bis wie-immer-aber-nicht-besser. Johnossi erstaunlich gut. Friska Viljor wie immer lustig. Sonst nix gesehen... aber der Zeltplatz war schön ;) Und selbst? Dockville?

"80 windows" zählt auch zu den großartigen Songs von Nada Surf. Bestes Album ist Let go. Es wäre perfekt, wäre "80 windows" drauf...

Hehe, aubacke, ich bin auch aus einem Kuhdorf geflohen ins Großstadtleben. Tipp: Am 21. August spielen Mother Tongue in Hamburg! Unbedingt anschauen, falls noch nicht geschehen, eine der genialsten Live-Bands der Welt!!! Ich seh sie in Bremen und vielleicht auch nochmal in Hamburg, wenn ich ganz viel Lust hab ;).

Gerne doch. Wenn du schon dabei bist, würde ich noch Norman Palm empfehlen. Und natürlich immer NAda Surf -falls du die skandalöserweise noch nicht kennst.

Jaha, echt wunderbares The National Konzert! Aber Stadtpark ist ja bei Sonnenschein immer ein Erlebnis! Ich komme aus einem Nachbarort von Hamburch, knapp ne Stunden entfernt. Für gute Konzerte nehme ich die lange Reise aber immer gerne in Kauf ;). Hm, Dockville Festival, wer kommt denn da so?

High Violet already checked and listened...and i think it's awesome. it's definitely a grower so it's possible i'll love it even more (can't imagine that, to be honest:). i dowloaded it some time ago just to see if it's worth buying (and it is!) so i also ordered an original copy from Amazom ;) Conversation 16 is my favourite so far. heyy it's great you'll see them live, lucky you...they'll be playing in Vienna which is actually not that far but i guess i wouldn't find anyone to join me anyway and i hate going to the gigs by myself. so i'll be waiting patienly for them in Prague (even Radiohead came, eventually) ;) what are your first impressions from the album? yeah, i think you've told me about the Phd thing and the moving. i get it, it must be really tough but i'm sure you'll get used to it soon and that you'll be ok ;) so i also wish you a lot of patience ;) do you like it at least? haha you don't have to apologize for you sister...well, it depends on how old she is 'cause i can actually understand someone loves the films when being let's say 13 or so..you know, those unstable teenage minds tend to have a terrible taste :D god, i remember being into spice girls when i was a kid :P at least...that fuckin great soudtrack could introduce the girlies to a real music. so in a way, it might be a good thing. btw, have you seen the films? i must admit...i have. just curiosity what was the fuss about. and how the music goes with it but hmmm it was a complete waste of time. epic fail! i guess i'm too old for it :D
