Wow, Kevin Gilbert's 'Shaming of the True' sounds like a progressive rock/pop concept album that Snow seems to mimic. This guy is interesting...like a proggy Peter Gabriel with oomph.

I feel ya. I work at Coca-Cola's water bottling facility in Anaheim, bottling Smart Water and Dasani 40 hours/week. And I have five classes! Fortunately two are finished, one almost, and I have two finals on Thursday. Aw man, I remember showing up to an SLP phonetics class three weeks late and acing the test--then the prof said I didn't have to take the class. They use the Times New Roman 'r' for their English rhotics (which I would prefer anyway), but they also have a schwar distinction depending on whether the 'r' which codas the syllable is in the stressed syllable or not. Stupid! Use a wedge or use a schwa, and always use the same rhotic unless we're working with Spanish speakers--why must they confuse things? Heh, yeah, I had to just shut up and learn a diluted system. Keep bein' a trooper! As far as I know, we'll get up there in the evening on the 13th, and Crown graduation is 9:00 AM Sunday, the 14th. I'll let you know more as it plays out.

Oh, and I'm gonna try to see Kenneth et al graduate on June 14th.

Chris! How's the semester going? Learning a lot of gross things that don't fit well in conversation at parties but are fun to say anyway? I have two weeks left, then rest [+zelda]. It's easily an autosegmental feature, if not more.

Wow. You're really living the American Dream...or, whatever the student has to endure before they get closer to that dream. Semesters are too long, I've kinda stumbled through the last few weeks, since I grew to like the quarter. In one of my classes, 85.9% fails the class, so I'm holding on for dear life. I'm hoping to be up in Nor Cal for LSA in SF, January 8-11, and maybe Santa Cruz beforehand. I'll give you a call.

Lazarus doesn't really fit into the Deadwing album, and the more I listen to the album, the less I like Lazarus and the more I like the rest of the album. I wonder if PT will ever be really well known. (English English uses a '?' at the end of a sentence headed by a wonder verb). That is all.
