Yeaahhh, they played about 4 new songs when I saw them recently. I don't know the names of them and didn't get any videos but it sounded like The Darkness we all love and know :D Justin said the album should be ready for March or April!

Of course it's not purely for the money, but it certainly helps to make a difference :P

Maybe, the new songs The Darkness played last week sounded pretty good. I'm sure Stone Gods will be back at some point. I think Dan and Ed just wanted to make the money back so they can afford the tours and everything again and then they'll start alternating between each band or something. There is no reason they can't be in two bands xD

Yeah I hear some sabbath in them too, I just hope they come back someday and get that second album released. Was really looking forward to it but then then it never happened :/

Great music. Stone Gods are epic, I was lucky enough to see them support Black Stone Cherry in December 2008. :)

I like all of the bands you mentioned, so I'm sure that would be awesome. I've really been enjoying listening to Iron Maiden lately, and of course Led Zeppelin is always good. Yeah, being likened to Guns N' Roses is quite a compliment! I'm sure as you keep writing, you'll get even better and can work towards that classic rock sound you want.

I see what you're getting at there - writing partners can be really helpful like that. I'm hopeful that I can eventually start writing songs with my brother. Is your friend going to be in your band with you? Also, what kind of music do you want to play in your band?

You've been playing a few more months than me; I started in December. I'm not in a band, but my brother actually is (he plays guitar and sings). I wouldn't be surprised if I eventually end up playing in a band with him. I hope that you'll be able to get a band started because that would be pretty awesome! If you're already writing songs, you're probably on the right track. I'd write more songs, but I'm not very good at writing music. My lyrics are okay, though.

That's cool! It's nice to meet a fellow bassist. I've only been playing since late last year, but I've had some pretty decent success teaching myself songs. How long have you been playing?

I'm not going to lie, Led Zeppelin used to be my favorite band, but one day, I got bored of them for some reason...Not really provoked by anything I can think of, just got bored of them, and the only band that could fill that void was and is the Scorpions (though Dream Theater is becoming pretty high up here :D), and I just kinda went with them as my favorite band :)

Your taste is super badass, but I think that more Scorpions would make it super badass x2 :)
