I agree with the whole lo-fi and pop-ness of either/or. I like to think Either/Or and X/O are like the middle of his musical career, where he is leaving this lo fi/ folk style of his self titled and roman candle. to a more pop/electric sound of figure 8 and basement. That being said I really can't say which is my favorite either. Some moods I feel like listening to his folkier early stuff and some times his more electric oriented later stuff, they are all equally good. His self titled or new moon would have to be my most played of his collection though.
