when in doubt read your players instructions it's probably calls it play for sure or windows music mode or something similar. MSC stands for Mass Storage Class and MTP stands for Media Transfer Protocol. Basically you have to use MTP if you are going to use copy protected files. Hi, I'm planning on ordering a Cowon J3 this week to replace my new but broken iPod. I don't understand this whole switching between MTP and MSC modes. What do they even stand for and mean? And how would one switch between them to get scrobbles, is it something done with the music player itself or is it a function I activate through my PC once the player is connected? Sorry for sounding like a noob, I've never owned any good DAPs before.
