I haven't seen The Field live yet, despite how often he's been here, but I'd imagine that male tears are acceptable at a Kompakt show. How was SBTRKT??? I too was having cash flow problems last month and couldn't justify going to a single show. So bummed I missed that one.

I really like it. Can still hear some of his previous style in it, but can definitely tell that Replica is kinda unlike what he's done in the past, don't know where he's going but I approve. I wonder how his live show will differ now... What do you think about it?

A boorish battle. Battles is in the U-District with is a -1. Boris has Master Musicians opening which is a +1, but I've heard their past few shows have been meh. -1.

I saw a lot less music this year since there weren't a lot of artists I was excited about. I saw bits of Cold Cave and Austra and both sounded good, Austra in particular. My favorite show was actually after the block party, at the Comet. Lumerians and Tit Pig played sets. Quite a contrast!

Ha! Sorry about that! I probably had too many free beers. ;) The VIP was a refuge; I couldn't do the block party without it. Did you have a good time overall this year?

It might be worth it... They were great last time I saw them. I was in a blissful trance by the end of their set.
