Grandaddy is another band you should check out... Try Sumday first...

Yeah I agree the solo Felice is pretty average, he's done a lot better, I'd recommend still checking out the other two albums mentioned, very different to that one. That Shearwater album is great, definitely get Shallow Bed by Dry The River if you like that one, I reckon it's even better...

What did you think to Simone Felice solo then? It's not his best work, self titled Felice Brothers or first Duke & The King are much better...

Based on what you listen to I would Dry The River would be a pretty safe bet plus maybe the latest Shearwater...

Best Thin Lizzy albums would be Jailbreak, Bad Reputation, Johnny The Fox and Fighting. Only got the one Minutemen album which appeared in a few recommendations, it's pretty good, hardly any songs last much longer than 2 mins though. If you like Simone Felice check out the early Felice Brothers albums and Duke & The King, both recommended. Psychedelic Pill on my birthday list... Gotta leave something on there for them to buy.

Whats the deal with the felice brothers? any good? The lead singer was on rockwiz just before...he had a good knowledge of pink floyd....he played long may you run at the end.

hey:) that harvest festival looks verrryy impressive so far- just realised that the melbourne show is on mark's wedding date. damn.....and bright eyes, flaming lips, the national are all exclusive to the festival. I would attend the fark out of this festival with those 3 bands especially if i could.

my bloody valentine is the MOST OVERATED BAND IVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE. Its just terrible terrible guitar lo-fi distoration/synth/vocals you cant hear etc.

yerp hte mmj record is a good one- not there best- but still very solid. Yes your are right eddie vedder solo is not my cup of tea anymore but good on u if u enjoy it- an album full of ukelule songs and covers isnt really a 'neil young' thing to do.
