You have inspired me to start FF9 once again. I have just made it to Lindblum (1st visit). Enjoying it as always! Such a great story and cast of characters.

Hey mate, yes have listened to the other one and I do like it. Haven't given it as much time as I need to yet, work is just so crazy that I don't have a lot of time atm. How are you? Good to know you have restarted FF9. It's such a great story. Did you do much of the side content? Chocobo hot and cold takes a long time but the items you get are basically the best in the game so it's well worth it!

Always looking for Testament’s Practice What You Preach, it’s pretty rare and would not be cheap but I would snatch it up if I found it. Do you ever check out record store day? That’s coming up on the 22nd.

I love a fresh playthrough of FF9. You should try to get all the abilities on all characters as that makes them all so overpowered. I recommend using Freya on your next playthrough- if you're killing Grand Dragons for EXP then she will hit for a guaranteed 9999 with dragon crest by the end game!

ive just started listening to BABYMETAL, i'm really liking their stuff, so stoked for their concept album!!

Saw a bunch of Kate Bush vinyl re-issues at the record shop the other day, almost grabbed a copy of the Dreaming. Have you heard any of them?

I'd be curious to see what you think of this album from GGGOLDDD - This Shame Should Not Be Mine. Pretty intense listen, like a cross between Bjork electronic sounds and black metal sprinkled in.

Revisiting Max Roach's We Insist this morning, definitely some good stuff. There's a re-issue coming out on vinyl at the end of June, might have to pick up a copy.

I started watching a show the other night called Tokyo Vice about an American that ends up working for a Japanese newspaper. If you have HBO Max, would highly recommend it, really interesting look at Japanese culture plus lots of crazy Yakuza stuff. Lot of it's subtitled in Japanese but a bit of English in there too.

Have you ever checked out Patrice Rushen? I was going through a list of greatest 80's albums on a Pitchfork article and stumbled onto her Straight From the Heart album, really enjoying it quite a bit.

I enjoyed Tomomi Midair World a lot! I don't usually listen to music with acoustic guitars, but I liked it a lot. Her voice is really beautiful as well. I will definitely listen to her stuff more often :)

You don't get anything from the card game. I have only played it in the past to get the trophy on PS4. You are forced into plating later on and you need to win to advance the story, so it might be worth having a few decent cards. The abilities system is great, make sure when you get to Lindblum that you begin sythesis to get rarer gear which will have abilities you won't be able to access until later otherwise.

Incredibly jealous that you're experiencing that for the first time. Wow, what a game. How are you finding it so far? Love the feel of 9 and how it is medieval. The music is just amazing too, it also has a whole bunch of my favourite characters.

It's really heart breaking reading your message. I remember, all too well, how upsetting it is to lose a pet. I can't imagine how awful it must be to try and carry on, but the way you described Franky - the way he came and waited for you outside the shower - just shows how you he must have loved you too. New Tori is out and definitely worth checking out. I think it might be the best album she's put out since Scarlet's Walk.

Sorry to hear that mate! I have been there in the past and it's never easy to lose a pet - they're family in the end and it is really hard to adjust. Hope you feel better about it all soon. I just firmly believe that BABYMETAL is too much of a money maker for them to stop now. Might have a hiatus and have a solo Su album maybe... but BABYMETAL as a brand makes way too much money to abandon.

Yes have seen it. Really excellent, though the end is confusing. Either it's the end of BABYMETAL or at least the end of this "section" of BM. Hoping for the latter obviously haha

Would be crazy to see Yui come back, but I sadly doubt it will happen. I imagine it's just a publicity stunt to draw attention to the band, and that they (Su & Moa) will come back with a new album/style in the future.

Hey mate. All good my end, have had both vaccinations and am back full time teaching. Is that your 2nd dose? Or some kind of top up? Lots of rumours flying about Babymetal - I have no idea what's going on. Just hoping it's a big advertising thing and they will release a new album next year.

I think you're right mate. I very much doubt they would stop when they are doing as well as they are, especially without taking advantage of it (as you say with FINAL concerts and live merch etc.). I could see them "disappearing" for a break and maybe to record a new album. That's what I'm hoping for at least!
