Turning my brother onto Slowdive feels was hardly a notion when I first got into the music when I was 18, but he’s digging it. He loves a group named Cannons, and I told him Slowdive was to them what Hendrix was to Metallica, which I don’t think is far off. There are perhaps some deeper influences at work in that sound but it is more satisfying that Americans have caught up to shoegaze in greater numbers lately.

You are probably the first person I’ve seen here with more No-Man scrobbles then of Steven Wilson’s other projects. In a career filled with hidden treasures the work he did with Tim Bowness is maybe the most vital in understanding his depth as a composer.
