Looking forward to hear about your impressions of Popsicle, Stina Nordenstam, Håkan Hellström and Steget. I predict that you will like Stina Nordenstam the most... By the way, I think that We were rock n roll is the best cut from The Electric Lady...

While we're (or at least I'm) on the subject, any suggestions where I should look for more great doo wop like the one on Capeman?

I just happened to find out that you consider Songs From The Capeman an underrated masterpiece. You truly ARE my music twin. ;-)

I'm curious... Did you listen to the Swedish acts I recommended a while ago? And if so, what did you think?

Then I'll definitely check out On the Beach! I listened to Everybody Knows This... on my way to work this morning and I have to agree with you; the guitar on Down by the river IS good! Have you listened to any of the Swedish stuff i recommended btw?

Since you're a big Neil Young fan: Tell me what album I should check out? The only ones I own and know are Ragged Glory and Everbody Knows... I prefer the latter.

Did I really write that I "suspected" you were listening to TMOE? Hmm, well, obviously I kind of did. That's strange. Anyway, I can't open the link you sent me from my work computer so I'm not sure what your Swedish playlist looks like. I do hope you enjoy it, though...

And I suspect you listen to a lot of Swedish music without knowing it's Swedish. Tallest Man On Earth for example...

Then why don't you to start with "Lacquer" by Popsicle and "And She Closed Her Eyes" by Stina Nordenstam? Two awesome and very different albums. If you're feeling bold enough to try something with Swedish lyrics, I strongly recommend "Känn Ingen Sorg För Mig Göteborg" by Håkan Hellström and "Förändrar Allting" by Steget.

Well, I must say I prefer O'Connors version over John Grant's (although I think it's a bit too close to the original to stand on its own).

As it happens, Crazy face is, in my opinion, by far the best track on His Band And The Street Choir, while Queen of Denmark is my favourite from How About I... I don't know if it's a cover, though. I'll have to check that out.

No, it's true! I keep coming back to your page regularly to get new ideas about what to listen to. Let's face it; there aren't a lot of us who has Nina Simone, David Bowie AND Van Morrison in our Top 20:s.
