Hey, Brandon, how are you? Yeah, I've been listening to a lot of Killing Joke lately. I think they're probably my favorite active band these days. However, I've never got to see them because the one time I planned to (and had tickets) they canceled their tour. Since then, they've never came around this area again. Anyway, that's cool you get to see Prince. I'm not a really a fan, but he's a great guitarist and can be a complete beast on some cuts I've heard. It should be fun. Come by and see us at the "other" site sometime. Your presence is missed.

Santana's been one of those artists I've avoided because of the over-saturation of one mediocre song; hearing "Jingo" randomly like I did made me think perhaps I should have done my homework despite. I started to youtube search other songs, but the moment had passed. The album recs help!

I went to the show for Battlefields and Atlas Moth but really enjoyed Batillus. Do you have Spotify yet? My Steve Moore collection has tripled because of it, along with access to a ton of other artists I've been too lazy or broke to check out in the past. Look into it!! Oh, I just looked at the date of Kyuss. If you decide to go you may be missing our local metal festival. Things are still up in the air regarding details, but I'm sure you know who to ask about that in case you're worried about a conflict. And yeah, I agree about the Neurosis show. I've been excited about seeing Akimbo again for months, and I'm glad MFNW got the 'show flow' right this year (read: Sleep+SK).

Yeah, I'm hoping to see at least some of Neurosis. I should know what they're like just for the sake of knowing. I suspect that means I'm going to end up skipping some locals to get through those days (my poor street cred) but perhaps I can be comforted by limited opener setlists versus a possible 1.5-2 hour Neurosis sample. That said, I'll take just about any band over Isis.

So far the consensus is that they are. They've only made a comment about the Nick thing being blown out of proportion so far.

Hm, it seems guys tend to be more obsessive about a particular genre or sound. Not always, but a lot of the time girls are more open to other shit. But yeah, if you like "Love Ridden", you shouldn't have any issue liking Fiona's other songs.

I liked logging in today and seeing your "heart" of "Love Ridden". Both ironic and nice to know I'm not the only one around here who maxes out the taste-o-meter.
