Nice library, but seems to be a bit "conservative", as I don't see any Zeuhl or RIO/avant-prog bands here, keep progging, though

Good detective work! And I jest with you btw. I'm originally from Wiltshire but now live in Surrey. My local has a great selection of beers on tap. Abbot Ale being one, Tribute another and Tim Taylor another. Being from Wilts I'm partial to a Summer Lightning. I hope you're having a good weekend

Hi Martin! How is it possible you scrobble so many songs in a week?? Do you have business (restaurant etc) where it's possible to play music all day or what???? :-)

Hi Martin. The new Delusion Squared release is out today, and available on Spotify if you want to check it out. I'm certainly enjoying what I'm hearing. Best wishes, Nick

Ik gave RWPL a try, but it's just too much PInk Floyd for me :-) I love Pink Floyd but especially the old stuff. But I must say I shifting slowly towards progressive metal like Haken. That's so great!

Hi Martin, hope the snow isn't to be bad with you. As someone else who I know enjoys Delusion Squared thought I'd let you know that after I think 4 years they have a new release out on the 7th April "Anthroprocence" . I haven't heard any snippets yet and can't find it available for pre-order, but there's a good write up on their website about the album concept etc.

Hi Martin, how are you? So I've finally given Frost* a listen... they're really good. Why did I not do this sooner?

I'm listening to Riverside's "Out of Myself" now (I thought I'd start at the beginning), I'm 4 tracks in and I'm mightily impressed. Good call.

Hi Martin. Hope all is well. I think it was yourself that first recommended Kino to me so you possibly already know this, but new album, first in 13 years ! due soon and I've just found the first release from it "The Dead Club" available on Spotify. Enjoy.

Thanks. I've always been into post-punk but as I mature (alright, get old) I'm loving prog more and more.

Are you a musician yourself? Your profile picture makes you look like the lead member of a prog band, you know? ;)

Hi Martin, its sometime since we've communicated and you may already know, but knowing you've been a big supporter of everything Silhouette have released previously just letting you know their latest "The World Is Flat .... And Other Alternative Facts" is now available (I got my copy via Bandcamp) and in my opinion after just a few listens its up there with "Across The Rubicon" and "Beyond The Seventh Wave". Happy listening.

Hi Martin, Hope all is well with yourself. Knowing that you have a high play count for Mostly Autumn, just on to recommend a new release by "Mantra Vega - The Illusion's Reckoning" a new collaboration between Dave Kerzner and Heather Findlay with some great guitars from Dave Kilminster and input from other Mostly autumn collaborators, best wishes, Nick

Hi Martin, hope you're well. I'm not sure how much of Comedy of Errors you have listened to previously, but as we have such similar tastes and they may not be a band immediately on your radar so to speak thought I'd point you in the direction of their new album Spirit, released today and currently available to listen too on Spotify. I'm biased as they're a Glasgow band, and it doest have immediate WOW Factor but let me know what you think ?

I only use itunes when I'm using OS X, I dislike it as a rule so I've installed Windows 7 on my mac and use Winamp as it enables me to play surround sound files. That said, I've no problem with it scrobbling. Do you have scrobbling enabled in the last.fm software? It's pretty easy to turn it off accidentally. If it's enabled and not scrobbilng I'd uninstall the last.fm software and reinstall it. It should re download the itunes plugin

I haven't listened to Kino that much tbh, but enjoy most of what John Mitchell has been involved in so will need to give "Picture" a few more listens as well, best wishes Nick

Hi Martin, glad you're enjoying Lonely Robot, I haven't had much time to listen to music over last 48 hrs. I don't know much of the history behind the project other than John Mitchell has taken the lead. By now you will also know there are a few prominent guests including Steve Hogarth and Heather Findlay

Hi Martin, I'm sure you've probably already listened to the new Sylvan release, but would also recommend Lonely Robot, Eyesberg and Light Damage and not that I've heard it yet but I'm hearing good reports about the imminent Sanguine Hum release.

Hi Martin, I popped by to recommend the Bjorn Riis release, but see that you've already discovered it for yourself, why should I not be surprised. I also see chris's recommendation for Jerzy Antczak. I don't think I've played it as much as Chris, but can't fault his comment that its an amazing release that should be highlighted to a wider audience. Finally i'm also playing a lot of Sleeping Pulse, but again you may have already discovered this for yourself, best wishes, Nick

Thanks for that. I have made a note to check it out. I will come back to you with some recent goodies I have bought but for now try the new Pendragon, Silhoette (amazing) and Bjorn Riis who is lead for Airbag, first solo but brilliant! More to follow but these are a must. OH and of course the new PF. Best Christmas to you and all you love. Martin

Hi Martin, thought I'd say hi as its spooky how much of what you play (and in deed CeeJaiGee) resonates as being within my top lists also and confess to looking at your charts for new recommendations. Totally agree with Anubis, Silhoette, Airbag, Nine stones close. I haven't yet checked our Riversea / Sean Filkin and sounds as if I should perhaps make that a priority, best wishes Nick

Continuing my recommendations, my taste in music is influenced by my love of classical and mellow jazz which when mixed with some prog influences gives some interesting results. I find myself drawn to artists such as The Cinematic Orchestra – listen to To Build a Home from Ma Fleur for a powerful sound from a minimalistic base. Their later albums contain some of the most beautiful music I have listened to. I see that you have dipped into The Tangent – for me Andy Tillison is one of the leading contemporary songwriters. Not a great vocalist but his prog music has complex structures with fine underlying melodies. I’ll point you in the direction of Supper’s Off, an irreverent comment on the music business which you will either hate or see its potential. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1kp3rScoKU Other very good albums that I have enjoyed are Soup’s Children of the ELB, Subsignal’s Touchstone, Seconds Before Landing’s The Great Deception, and Soen’s Cognitive.
