ya!!! they had a reunion show at Broken World Fest (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQvrmNxyxbs) and had another show (idk when it was or even if they played it yet). i wish i actually had copies of the ep and lp. the compilation has the ep, the two song live demo, the two song 7'', and a song from a split. i lov the shirt a lot but it's starting to fade and peel and stuff in the wash so i prolly won't wear it as much :,(

Hey Julia! Remember that post about Jenny's new band a couple months ago? Well their new album came out a couple weeks ago if you didn't know already. I don't think it's as good as anything Jenny has ever done (yes, even Under the Blacklight :P) I still think it's decent though. Warning: there are no guitars whatsoever on this album.

I've never asked you what you thought of Jenny's solo albums. Rabbit Fur Coat is my favourite :) I'd rank them Rabbit Fur Coat > Acid Tongue > The Voyager > I'm Having Fun Now. I'm not too big of a fan of Johnny. Maybe i'm just jealous :3

Yeah I guess I am the lucky one, I didn't think about that ... sometimes I take living in a major city for granted. im a bad person :/ Also I do know that band, they're near the top if you check my top artists :P Since you like that song I would highly recommend you listen to their first album "Yeah So" I think you would really like it since they have some twee-ish sounding songs as well as some slower ones like the one you linked.

yep that's pretty much my thinking too, i've decided to give this a trial run of one semester (12 weeks; seems pretty short when i put it that way) and if i still don't like it i'm going to jump ship, look for alternatives in the meantime too because i've wasted one year basically haha

Thanks! Seeing Joanna live 2 months ago was honestly the best day of my life :) And omg I have a soft spot for she & him too! I remember 8 years ago when I was 12 I had the biggest crush on Zooey. I would watch all her movies and then I discovered Volume One. I had that album on repeat for like a year. I don't listen to them much anymore but their music will always mean a lot to me. If you didn't know already, M. Ward has a solo album coming out in 2 weeks. I'm not that excited for it but i'll probably still give it a listen.

What's your favourite Rilo Kiley song not on The Execution of All Things? I'd say mine is either Always (the Take Offs and Landings version) because I absolutely love that buildup or A Man/Me/Then Jim because of the heartfelt lyrics, it even made me cry a couple times :(
