parts of LA are scary, but most of it is safe. good choice! california is a gorgeos area, its pretty close to both the beach and snow, and the music scene here is terrific. i could probably see a show here every night if i chose so. ktown is actually one of the better areas, chinatown at night can be a little sketchy. xD

yesssir. LA is a pretty cool place, full of lots of interesting people from all over the world. some people compare it to NY cuz of the shitty drivers and the amount of assholes, but i dont see it that way. people in LA are more kind but the drivers are rather terrible. i personally wouldnt live in LA, i would live in suburb thats like 20-30 minutes away, that way you can come home anytime and not have to watch your back.

Yeah I noticed that. It's fine to love a band, though you don't have to hate on others to try to convice people said band is superior. Don't feed the troll, they say, but I can't help it :(.

everything everywhere is impacted. i wanted to do communications so i applied to like 8 local so cal uc school and 6/8 said that 1) they were over booked with students and 2) my major was impacted anyways. same thing with my friends who are doing architecture and engineering. ha BUT, my friend who went to IU said he never ever had problems getting classes. /rant
