Time flies fast with good music :-) ... I must also say that I am astonished how easy accessible Asian music is here in the Western hemisphere. Nowadays with kpop that is to be expected, seems all teenies are crazy about 'em. But Japanese and Chinese are not so "favoured" around here, but e.g. via spotify I can play almost anything... For me: I think the one consistent thing in my music since begin here at lastfm is the instrumental part (from the Korean haegum to "wood and string" (I had a lastfm group for string instruments) to my own compositions (genre: minimal/experimental) ). The Asian music is also a lot, of course... What's your musical plan for the next days?

Yup, lines were the best I have ever seen so far, especially picking up your badge line. All the artists/concerts looked very interesting to me, I shoulda went more since they are pretty cheap!

And Mashiro did the cover for Oath Sign and This Illusion (by LiSa) which is very impressive. Aimer did a cover from Kalafina's EDing (Believe)

Damn, Aimer and Ayano Mashiro (Fate/Stay Night) performance was pretty good. Anime Expo is amazing this year. Lines did not exist for me! Took me one minute to pick up my badge on Day 0. I only needed to wait for the event to start and the lines were not too long at all. They also added canopies to shade us attendees. They did a better job this year for sure!

They used speakers, so I couldn't even enjoy a pure sound. There was too much stuff on the screen (many scenes containing text that I guess you're supposed to read; final bosses and endings = spoilers) that distracted you from listening to the music, audience whistling and clapping during performance... And more. If people want others to treat game music seriously things like that shouldn't be happening. Some of people's reactions were so loud you literally weren't able to hear the passages. I wouldn't go again. I feel the arrangements ain't even bad though, so it's a shame. Too crowded, too big. They actually cancelled rePLAY AGAIN >_<. However they announced another Final Symphony (have you listened to the Final Symphony I CD? It's getting recognition; really good indeed), so I'm gonna wait for that. I use Google Play. You can store up to 50k songs in your account and stream it anywhere. $200 dollars is only mid tier. And wow that song is from Tales anime? Interesting and I definitely love it. Hmm, to me, I can barely tell the difference, even with my 200 dollar headphones. All I need is a volume normalizer which I use with ReplayGain. And man, I definitely need to get new music, very soon. Just bought AKGs k553 too for work usage, you find any new tracks you love recently?

Why 320? V0 is good enough for me and I have decent audio gear. You can look for lossless then convert them. I'm also on skype if you want to catch up on things :p

Damn does Chris sound very unhappy ahaha. It was a blast for me but I'm more of an optimistic person plus AX is only 40 minutes away from me... I went to more panels than he did I think and I care less about the KLK event and the other concerts. I did went to the gaming Orchestra event which was not bad at all and professionally done (and they extended it!). I also came prepared and avoided the high traffic panels/viewings. I knew SAO II premiere is impossible to get into since it is insanely hyped. My predictions were correct since I literally saw over 1000 people trying to line up for it and I heard the staff could not handle that many people for obvious reasons. As for the crowd, it wasnt too bad, it felt pretty normal AX other than the lines to the popular panels.

Oh! What my friend told me is that Hyper Japan appears to be directed more towards people who don't know much about Japan and its culture. I cannot say whether he's right or not though. Thank you! Really? Premiere looks awesome! All the lines I went to had very short premiere lines and ofc, they get priority of going in. But yes, the growth is insane (but thats good which means anime is trending in the west). I would buy premiere in a heartbeat for next year cause I actually had a fun time as a regular member this year. Its all about your friends and enjoying yourself. I find it wasteful complaining about something when you are suppose to have fun and enjoy!

I heard something about fire marshal but unsure. The crowd is INSANE. I believe around 84k attended this year. I lined up for Kill la Kill panel 1 hour early. By the time it was about to start, I think there were at least 2k ppl lined up (prob only fit 500 ppl LOL). The line and organization is awful to the point where premier pass is a must now if you want to attend to panels.
