Yeah, discovered the album very recently. Quite different from the Ministry stuff I'd heard before. I'd quite forgotten about Lush. Got an album in the vaults somewhere. Must find it and re-spin it.

Just read your blog entry about Depeche Mode. I agree that the single is disappointing. In fact, it's fecking awful. But the album isn't half bad. Not quite up there with 'Violator' or, their best album(IMO), 'Playing the Angel' but a significant improvement on the last one. Nowhere near as thrilling as the last albums from eighties survivors Duran Duran and OMD but thankfully not a disaster. The lyrics though? Dearie dearie me. Great photo, by the way. I like the way that the cat's tail makes you look like a more handsome Salvidor Dali.

Sorry to dredge up old posts but I noticed you didn't think anyone else's favourite Parklife song would be Trouble In The Message Centre... well I think it's fantastic and it's (probably) my favourite (although I've just come to the end of the album and listened to This Is A Low and now I'm not sure...) anyway, great song and great shout! Enjoy The Joy Formidable, they're absolutely incredible musicians, spellbinding live.
