Hi again. I asked because it's funny how the style is attracting many producers that were a bit isolated in their styles (dub, drum n bass, broken beat), so it seems that, yes, it has a broad variety of things in the "dubstep" tag, but also a kind of obscure nexus that feels like a weird community. Anyway, I think that the martyn and 2562 albums are quite the bomb, and the martyn fabric mix is quite representative of the detroit-broken beat-dubstep mix of everything. And, if you ask me, this is a relief for my tired ears: the neo soul that invaded the broken beat genre is nice, but it was becoming more stale than necessary. Maybe a bit of a dark detroit touch is what it needed to have some variety. Sorry for the rant, and thanks for the recommendations (Joker is actually coming to the Primavera Sound gig in 2010!)
