yeah, it took a while for that song to grow on me. i remember hearing it on 'the rotal tenenbaums' and it wasn't until then that it really made sense. y'know how it takes someone/thing to sort of put it into perspective before you can appreciate it? some songs just click right away, but some you have to wait and let it explain itself to you.

that does sound odd. it's like when the smashing pumpkins over-threw beirut on my chart. i have no idea how that happened. i quite like 'fly' but it's not my favorite. i'd be shocked if 'poor boy' made it into my top 50 ND songs. it's the only song he's ever written that i can't listen to. it's far too heavy. i can only listen to one's self-loathing for so long.
