laaaaaaaaaaaaame. sydney gets all the good stuff, but I don't really like sydney. I love the city, but sydney is a whole new avenue for me, it's a ridiculously hectic place to be.

Oh wow! That's awesome. That sounds like me and Devin Townsend, haha. Favourite artist everrrr, he's playing soundwave next year and I got mah ticket in the mail this week so I'm stoked as. I hear he's doing sideshows in melbourne but I'm really hoping there'll be one in brisbane, fingers crossed.

I know myself and a few others went just to see them... So worth it. Matt falling into the amps was one of the funniest and horrible things I've ever seen.

mfw. This album will be the most played thing I listen to. I think they played some of their new stuff last time they were here... and I am ): hahaha

Oh shit, skull fuck is one of the most brutal things I've heard for a while. No words can express how keen I am to here more, and then see it live.

serious man, that's gotta suck. I was living in adelaide last year to do studying, and I was only a 3hour drive away from my girlfriend and that was bad enough haha, I couldn't imagine being in a different state! I'll send you a message on here in a sec..

haha, I don't know what it was but I had a feeling that you lived in Australia, maybe it was the somewhat obscure Aussie skramz bands that gave it away

One of the bad things about living Australia is their internet, we have ridiculously small download limits. (Well, I guess that depends on how much you download). Glad to help remind you lol... and what are the odds of that lol, one of the first people I talk to about skramz and their name is the same as mine hah

Definitely! Hah, I can't believe I forgot Raein or even Love Like... Electrocution. I would have loved to have been into this kind of music a little earlier when they were playing in Adelaide... This has got me in the mood for listening to some skramz now. I've had the new ampere (Like Shadows) on my computer for ages but haven't gotten around to checking it out yet, have you listened to it yet?

The one band that basically got me into the genre was Saetia. I can't remember how I found them, I was searching Google for songs at the time and Venus and Bacchus was one of the ones I downloaded, and they pretty much opened the door for me. Some of my more listened to bands would be Neil Perry, The Kodan Armada (I wish I had more of their lyrics), Orchid, Funeral Diner, Pg.99, IWSMOFFY, Love Lost, The Saddest Landscape (though more on the 'emotive hardcore' side I guess). I've actually got a few records of these guys too (Orchid, Funeral Diner, Pg.99/CTTS split, TSL). I think one of the reasons that lead me to these bands is that, some of them actually play music with meaning, where as a lot of the mainstream crap I hear on radios these days are all about going out partying, getting drunk, etc. which to me is just shit because it doesn't take a genius to write that. What about you, what bands were you listening to?

hah, sometimes I find myself listening to my favourite bands every now and then, it's kind of hard not to seeing as they are what got me in to the style of music I listen to now.. Yeah, as soon as the last song finished I wanted more haha, but at least it's only a couple of months til they release the whole thing, it'll be awesome to hear what the rest of the songs sound like, especially after those 4.

Cheers man, same to you too! Although I must admit, my music taste has changed a lot over the past couple years. I used to listen to mostly 'skramz' before I found last.fm so my charts would probably be looking a lot different if I found it earlier hah. Circle The Sky (female-fronted) are awesome hah, I haven't checked out the others though, but might have to. I had their stuff sitting on my desktop for ages, along with another 20 or so albums I hadn't yet listened to, and finally got around to checking them out, sucks they didn't keep making more. Oh and gotta say thanks to you as well, because if I didn't come to your page I wouldn't have known that the new CTTS EP is out :D

but so far i'm digging every rise release, it's just exactly my taste. but i'm really looking forward to the new man overboard & transit releases

haha yeah. i like it, but at times it's too monotonous for me. same song structures, same breakdowns... and it sounds like all those newer chango studio releases like memphis may fire and all those bands. but i think it's decent ;)

Hahahaha that sounds like half the girls in Sydney.....and all the guys in Bondi. Seems to have become more of a fashion show than a music festival. Pretty sad really. Niiice! Were they amazing? I'll bet they were. I'm trying to suss a ticket for Splendour in the Grass at the minute, that'd be so killer
