you should check out under the pretense of present tense by engine down, you might like it. i'm not sure how to describe it but its really intense and melodic post-hardcore

fugazi was the greatest band of all time, record label aside. however in terms of dc stuff, lungfish was pretty consistently solid, and they have like eleven records or something. i'm not even gonna debate the dischord thing though because i adore so many bands on that label! all the old hardcore (especially void), rites of spring/one last wish, circus lupus, q and not u, black eyes, faraquet, antelope...that label just can't fucking go wrong. sooo much amazing stuff

i just got the thursday/envy split. The package is really nice, and the vinyl is 180g marbled. hand-numbered out of 1000. The envy side kicks all kinds of ass. I don't think I had ever listened to Thursday before...and they really really suck.

i dont like shipping news that much. you should see corrupted at neumos on november 2nd. Japanese drone/doom/sludge/ambient. Like Boris but darker.
