Are you joining the party? - No, I still have pressing things to do :( -> Pressing things: listening to "Recordings Of Shortwave Numbers Stations" for the rest of the night

I seemed to notice you don't have any Area in your physical and digital collection, I think you'll dig them. They're an out-there Italian progrock/fusion band with rather eccentric vocals.

Currently halfway through Crac! and it's bonkers. Exactly what I want to listen to, I'll definitely explore their discography, thanks for the tip. Feel free to throw at me prog bands and albums I might not know whenever. Do you know Kairon; IRSE! and/or Astra? Less avant than Area, but god-tier prog in my book. Check out Karion; IRSE!'s Ruination and the two Astra albums The Weirding and Black Chord, you won't be disappointed. Let me know if you'll end up going to Imperial Triumphant.

Yeah I knew you'd love Area. Thanks for your suggestions, I'll check out Kairon and Astra and let you know what I think!

Listening to Astra and it's a love letter to the best of '70s prog with a meaty psychedelic sauce. Good stuff!

I'm afraid I won''t be able to make it to Imperial Triumphant. I'd have to leave at like 21:45 to catch the last train home because of the railway maintenance around Amersfoort. I am rather displeased, as you can imagine...

Hell yeah! I had been familiar with and liked Imperial Triumphant before seeing them last year, but after seeing them live, they blew my fucking mind and my appreciation for them elevated. Can't wait to see them again in 2 months, super excited. I remember the Ukraine album from Nokturnal Mortum having clicked the most, and the rest of their discography not as much. Hadn't listened to them in a long time, but should revisit Ukraine. Twin Temple I've been on a kick - so good and catchy. And funny, in a good way. I see Abyssic Hate on your page, I love the Suicidal Emotions album, so damn good, and Contamination is also sick. If you got recs or whatever, feel free to throw em my way!

That's a tough one cuz despite their versatile discography they manage to maintain a unique sound in whatever they do. Right now Peace on Venus by Bardo Pond comes to mind especially moments like Fir. If something else comes to mind ill drop it here. What about you?

I did not. I did get to see them three times during this Future Past tour at least though. The setlist had such deep cuts that I had to try my chances again, especially as Somewhere in Time might be my favourite Maiden record if I had to choose only one. Thanks for your tips by the way!

I can't get over Mandy and its OST, and I absolutely love Chrch. Both albums are otherworldly. Have you seen/heard the OST of the series Dark by Ben Frost?

I'm really snobby with shows but it became an instant favourite and the title is very apt. I don't wanna say much to avoid spoilers but for the specific theme of the show, it's super sophisticated and detailed, and the mindfucks don't stop, check it out. The soundtrack is just perfect.

Dissection is an obvious one. Also Taake, especially the first three albums. Nær sólen gar niþer for evogher, by Dawn. And I hear that the Immortal album from earlier this year is actually pretty good.

Cool man! I was on vacation for a week and was blasting some Sons of Otis, Wo Fat, and Earthless on the car/plane rides and it was fucking badass dude! Also got ripped out of my mind one of those nights and nose dived into my bed, put on headphones and played through Feedbacker, highlight of that whole week to be honest.

Hell yeah dude. I listened to 1 Wo fat record, and Earthless either 1 or 2 of their records. Probably during a period when I was blitzing through a bunch of things for exploration's sake so I can't quite recall the characteristics of each atm. I just remember Earthless being badass groovy psych. Now that you reminded me, I'll revisit them and give both a spin. Party on my dude!

currently on the prowl for some good sludge/stoner metal/hard rock. Not particularly anything too heavy or life-crushing, maybe with blues rock / southern flavor. Help me out if you know any, or just shout me any reccs that you want

im not a big fan of zola jesus' solo works, ive listened to ''versions'' (which i believe its a compilation of some sort) and ''taiga''...they sound way too mainstream to me, unlike excellent and exciting collaboration with la vampires - of course perhaps youll find her more appealing, so you can never go wrong following chronological order of her releases.
