Saw you commenting on Vendemmian's page, and yes, change of vocalist resulted in quite a different sound! Great library to look through too ;)

You tend to get different focusses in the other schools, such as the french with colour or the good old Russian romanticism, so it might not all suit your taste. Names like Dvorak, Grieg, Bridge, Bax, Ireland, Smetana, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Debussy, Ravel, Prokofiev, Shostakovich... Seeing as you're interested in the German school, perhaps Medtner would be to your liking. I've seen a comment saying when it comes to the big silver age Russian composers, Scriabin is French, Medtner is German and Rachmaninoff is pure Russian. He has some great sonatas and the skazki are a staple of piano repertoire. Mahler is another composer I'd definitely recommend checking out if you haven't already. His symphonies are giant in scope. Happy listening.

No problem. I had something of the same experience with Trance, it was more of a springboard into other genres; a sort of a transient yet defining phase. Thinking back though, I don't know if I could actually describe the change in musical taste I underwent in even the remotest detail. I think perhaps I veered towards minimal techno, and then arrived at all manner of sounds. As for New Beat, I was never able to define it myself, although I know the Belgian underground music scene produced the most enduring techno, aye. Cherry Moon, anyone?

I'm envious of your top tracks list... I lost all my Trancemaster CDs (Must have had 1 through 22) back in 2011, and never managed to recover them. I remember them being crammed with big, unmixed tracks though that you'd never find elsewhere.

Lots of good stuff here :D Shame I have not been using last.fm longer, or I feel our libraries would only be more similar.

hi, you're right. I'm listening to different kinds of electric music. It's to sad, that the oldschool-style of (hard)trance died. I'm looking for good new music in this direction, but all the new hardtrance stuff isn't the same. I'm listening to the newer stuff of the trance/dance genres and so on, but I'm missing the creativity & style of the old artists :/

Oldschool trancer... Are they still out there?? :) Very pleasant thing to observe as opposed to those ArminTiestoPvD nonsense lovers, albeit I'm not very much into that direction of trance you are. I'm also an oldschool trancer mostly though, preferring stuff from 1992 to 1998 with only difference that I'm into genuine goa trance, and you seem to be closer to techno harthouse/eye-q/vath/lieb scene. Cheers anyhow. :)
