Is your job like, you repeatedly do design work for one company or like some sort of agency that gets you random design work with whoever is looking for it?

Ah, yea I think that was the reaction of most people too it. I saw em in '08 too so I was less interested in hearing the classics and whatnot. The only 'new' record really worth hearing is Brave New World, which if you like fear of the dark patterned songs(that's all they do anymore) you'd probably approve of. Then there's just a handful of decent songs scattered through the other 3. Have you done band art besides what is on your site? You're really damn good at it and are way more precise than the majority of Moyen-clones and meh demo art that is everywhere. If you haven't you should do more!

I saw em last tour and loved it haha, but I like all eras of Maiden so I didn't mind the new material, but I'm way glad they're playing old shit again. I happened to find Bastardator when the CoT split came out but I don't think they really ever got the distribution required to get a lot of people to know em, which is sad because I think they were way better than most new metal/punk bands I hear. I'd have loved to see a Bastardator house show! I know a guy who used to live with them in some compound called Dis-House, apparently they just called it quits because the drummer wanted to move onto a different lifestyle than the crusty one he was. Sucks.

I take it you've seen Midnight before? I've heard tons of stories from people who have and they really make it sound like one of the best shows around, I love "dangerous" bands haha. I was actually going to Rites up until the last like 10 days, when all the headliners were gone and every single band I had wanted to see (except Midnight) dropped I just gave up and got a refund on the plane tickets. My buddy who I was going to go to Rites with is going to CiT, but I think I'm just gonna wait and save the airfare for some festival when I can actually afford shit since I'm spending the other money I had pooled up on seeing Maiden in Calgary because my best friend lives up there and they're touring with Seventh Son material (which is also a contender for my favorite record ever haha.) That's cool as fuck that you listen to Bastardator by the way, they were way underrated and I run in to very few people who actually know them!

Nice! You actually probably lucked out quite a bit, I think it's been mostly sold out for awhile now. Records are way to easy to spend money on haha. The Bludwulf split might be a bit hard to track down but its not thaaat old, I happened upon the Parasite diehard version for $20 on some guys selling list so I snagged it. I'm not sure if you've heard new Bludwulf but it's pretty different, it's badass but much more crusty I suppose and less of the melodic punk stuff from the album. I really hope I can make the Midnight/TH show up in SF in may, I've been wanting to see Midnight for years but every goddamn time they play in northern ca (which is already not very often) it's 21+, and this one is finally all ages. Pretty sure Antisect isn't on the bill for our show but that would rule if they are. I was gonna go to Chaos in Tejas and see all of them after I ended up not going to Rites of Darkness when everyone canceled, but I ended up not having enough money, if I did I would totally go NWN

Glad that worked, I have no idea how easy they are to get a hold of digitally. I haven't had a computer that was actually mine for the last half year so I haven't been using last too much since I don't listen to all that much but the release you want to hear is Metal Punk Massacre if you haven't already checked it out. I also have two splits they did, one with Bludwulf and one with a vamp-something band who's name escapes me, they are both awesome but the 10" is better. Some of the guitar work on it is straight up Randy Uchida to a degree that is impressive as fuck. I think they have some other demos and splits but I have no heard them, doubt they've put out any bad material though. Are you actually going to all the events there? NWN looks amazing as always, I'm jealous if you are haha

Neither have I! Well Dino from Dystopia has a black and white version of it that I've seen him around shows in, without the red winged logo thing. Serious contender for best album of all time, awesome to see others who deem it backpatch worthy haha. Have you heard Parasite from Japan?

Yeah most of the time that's true, but sometimes us NW metal fans get shafted for some reason. I did see BT play recently too and they were pretty awesome. The Agalloch show was really good, also ridiculously crowded though. Their new material is pretty excellent. Are you much of a fan?

It's absolutely amazing. They get better with each release, in my opinion.
