Hmm, old norse viking influenced music? I assume your hinting more towards early bm? I guess then, id say check out early Ulver (Bergtatt), that record is bathed in a tremendous aura of old viking folk; early Enslaved (Frost); Bathory (Blood Fire Death), Emperor (Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk, or In the Nightside Eclipse), Windir (1184) or anything from Summoning, old Burzum, Falkenbach, Ensiferum. And check out a band called Tenhi (Kauan), or Vali (Forlatt). that might be more of what youre after if youre looking for something less matallic. Hope that helps out.

Mala live is an extraordinary experience. Saw him live this year when he played a special 4 hours set full of some classic DMZ stuff and others as well as newer tunes. Strictly vinyl performance, on an enhanced subbass soundsystem, it was really intense. If you ever have a chance of going to a gig where he performs, definitely do so, you won't be disappointed.
