Yeah the new Noisettes album is very idk, it is okay some songs are great but maybe too poppy for me. I LOVE It's Blitz! too, I actually like Runaway and all the songs on it but I love Soft Shock and Skeletons. What other new albums have you gotten? You like Bat For Lashes?

If our argument is about TVOTR and it started on the TVOTR page, It only make sense to keep on the TVOTR last.fm page. Honestly, your post on why the album isn't good didn't say anything. You just compared a song you liked to a band you don't like. And went on raving on how stale the album sounded. You even mentioned it being bad was not debatable. If that's not being pretentious then what is? It's also not very common to see Coldplay references being used in a positive way. The reason why you used it is not entirely clear to me but from what I perceived it was just another jab at the band. Maybe I was wrong but I honestly don't believe I am. Calm down, kid. I like the music I listen to, and I don't pay attention to whether or not it's trendy. I just don't like people who buy into the hipster stereotype, as many do, and try to. I don't enjoy the notion that people listen to her earlier work and not her latest work because it was "indie, underground, pure, raw, honest, under produced, and savvy". I'm not speaking to seasoned fans, like yourself, I'm speaking to THE ignorant listeners (and by the way, I'm not ignorant, I just didn't know better). I didn't know that Cat Power was famous before The Greatest. And yes, the revenue bit was definitely moot (did my research, she makes her money from touring, not from album sales) but damn, lighten' up a bit! I was wrong, and I apologize. So you don't have to jump to judging my music taste or making statements like "get over yourself" -- it doesn't really do much to get a rise out of someone who knows better.

It annoys me because 1) it's useless. Billie Holliday, Paris Hilton & some female opera singer have nothing in common musically, so why group them together? 2) It's sexist, coz it sort of implies that male vocalists are the default, and female vocalists are some special category that needs to be set aside in their own little ghetto . 3) Worst of all, it lowers my all-important OMI score.

janet is my favorite too! i think its ok to ask, but im not sure if she would actually do it. carrie has played a few SK songs that she wrote in solo shows while corin has not played any SK as far as i know since the breakup. i am not sure what janet's thoughts are, but since she is credited for that drum intro herself, she may be up for it.
