Hello, you have been on my following list since what feels like 20011-2012. Obviously, I am unsure how you got there in the "early years", but your profile proved to be curious enough for me to take a peek at from time to time. Now, what is a "POC artist"?

Wally & i adore that film as well, created by Virgil... who's also responsible for Rose's embrace => https://verlies.livejournal.com/394557.html

for some obscene reason they've omitted the final line: "Where is my blanket of sound?" That whole album (Fortress Longing) is gold... especially the British Museum & Solar Wind tracks.

Everything about your profile is great, but beside your musical taste I pretty much like the uppermost pic!

Since you listen to Khmer oldies you may also like reading my article on Cambodian music. http://www.laboratoriummuzycznychfuzji.com/2013/06/labopedia-muzyka-kambodzy-panstwa-w.html If you like it you may also click "lubię to" button to like my website (on the right handside of the page). There's a translation tool in the top right corner.

Hey ☺. I’d like to invite you to listen to Subatomic Dreams with full-length track available. Since I noticed that our musical compatibility is HIGH.

I keep seeing you in different discussions about music I'm interested in. I think it was Pram and Anna Calvi. To be honest, I haven't heard of most of your top bands, but I'm definitely interested in your taste.

Yeah, it's not bad at all. I have 'Spell' and although it's a nice idea... ho-hum. As for the Giddle and Boyd, I only have a pirated copy someone sent me, as per our convo about piracy. Very tempted on the heart-shaped bubblegum pink vinyl, but our deck is awful... and it sold out. ha! Oooh, such a hypocrite, me.

Oh, yes... 'Cat's Eyes'. It's like that Boyd Rice/Giddle collab from a few years ago. Nice.

Um, ah, oh. Definitely on the musical themes and 'headspace' and Eileen Jewell... maybe not.

Poor chaps! How do you afford the jetsetting without jobs? Right now, we are so full of worry and sorrow that I quite feel your turmoil. This isn't good, but the alternatives are much worse, we aren't sure where to begin ironing out all the creases. I hope you find a bit of respite there to salve your souls. Maybe a bit of time to reflect? I can't even imagine the upheaval of moving to another country, let alone ever moving house again...

You are back in Thailand for real? What happen with Czech? As for the cockroaches, can't you drop a big bug bomb? My other half used to work for pest control and spray for 'big green bugs' at this mad old man's house. He never saw one, but the man maintains every one of them was real. They used to dust with some 'bug powder' and leave.

Seabeast now and then we are thinking birds, next. At least, artwise. I should get my arse in gear. So lazy, recently. I think I'm being psychically vampired by the internets...

Hmmn. Maybe that is some generic thing. I can't find much about him. My prints are okay, not nearly as glorious as the real thing. I should have reversed my image in Photoshop first as I'm painting onto the etching and he's the wrong way around.

My other half informs me that the 'Bobtailed Squid' is called a 'cuttlefish' here. That's probably why so few pictures came up when I looked for him...

I don't recall... I just got it from an erstwhile 'Baba Yaga' Google search. I just like those illustrations. Like Russian versions of 'Struuwelpeter'. I'd like a chicken leg house. I have a sketch somewhere that I did to make my Virgin Mary grotto into a chicken leg hut, but I wasn't sure how it would all balance on one chicken stump...

Yma? Hammy? Kitsch, certainly... but magnificent, definitely. And on the Callas 'front', Michael's relly had an affair with her. But then apparently, he had affairs with everyone and was even challenged to a duel, by one of the affronted husbands of one of his conquests... to which he promptly ran away. Michael met him when the relly was an old man in a wheelchair, his only utterance towards Michael was, 'Children should be seen and not heard.' Spot on that man, in sexual conquests and child rearing ethics.

@ BigChoupique (who seems awfully free with the comments for having a closed shoutbox): Hmm. I think you're reacting to the same conditions I was when I once characterized her tragically limited employment as "one of the great art crimes of the 20th century". Personally though, I don't think the kitsch nature of her marketed work can conceal or spoil the awesome, almost elemental quality she expressed/channeled? -- perhaps uniquely. When I hear any of her work, hammy, undignified orchestration aside, this is mostly what I hear. Knowing that the hamminess merely reflects oppressive social conditions, far from invalidating her work, enhances my hearing of it, and indicts the dominant culture which failed her. Not the other way around. *shrug* But seriously, I'd really love to know, who in your opinion was a more experimental/avant-garde vocalist than Yma Sumac in her day? Maria Callas? *chuckles...baffled*
