I'm just suggesting Canadian bands because you might not have heard of them before. Also, you might like the latest album from vitaminsforyou (http://www.last.fm/music/Vitaminsforyou)... it's called "he closed his eyes so he could dance with you." The earlier albums from him are a little downtempo.

Hmm, not sure what to recommend, TMDP's a decent Canadian band that reminds me a lot of Daft Punk at time (http://www.last.fm/music/TMDP) and deadmau5 is another good Canadian electro artist (http://www.last.fm/music/Deadmau5).
