Some bands can create music on a whole other level, and I think D'espairs is one of those bands. The atmosphere in their songs is just completely different... You can get lost in it. Listen to mainstream stuff and it's not only boring but repetitive and predictable. Even the lyrics make you roll your eyes. You can't predict D'espairs' songs. I'm listening to 'Brilliant' at the moment.. What an epic song! Even after my 200th or whatever play! That solo isn't of this world.. I would love to see behind the scenes to see how they wrote their stuff. That's interesting what you wrote about western influences - I think you are right. I also agree that they don't sound like anything else. Ermm. Good question. At moment to be honest I'm so involved with studying that I have experienced so little! Sad and weird I know, but that's the way it is right now. I love lots of little things about it really. I love how clean is it here for example. Ahh I meant to put 'instead' not i'snt xD

Hey - nice! Congrats on the move. I seem to listen to them less these days, I think it happens when a band is no longer active - the magic disappears sadly. They were so great though.. I had so much respect for them because they were everything I look for in music - very interesting, ever-changing melody (that makes you kinda daydream at times), fantastic vocals (I love the sound of Japanese but Hizumi makes it sound even better while adding lots of expression). You just feel like cheering them on and playing air guitar when you listen to them. Anyway, yeah school is cool - I'm here in Sapporo now - but man they are going a little too fast for me. I not a fast learner! I'm loving life in Japan. Philosophy sounds cool. I wish I did something like that isn't of film.

Hay chris! Yes I did stumble on gravitation album few months back, I actually also thought it was pretty decent compared to all lame stuff they were releasing, I enjoyed few tracks too, it gave me a Music AlbumXmoreGuitar rift feeling they might have gotten bored with the pop attempt

I just don't hear anything that interests me in the bands that the guys are in now. I don't need to tell you awesome D'espairs were :D I always thought that they made such a big sound for a band with 4 members - like the band was actually bigger than it was. Their songs never sounded generic. Great songwriting, they had their heart in the music and their music really stands out. Well, I'm a fanboy too xD Yeah, actually I'm in the process of applying to a school there now and I'm pretty excited about it :D Hope you are well. How is uni? Are you studying Japanese?

Like you say, I think they are all passionate about coming back to D'espairsRay someday so hopefully... To be honest I'm not really into the bands the other guys are in at the moment. I see Karyu in Angelo and feel like he should be back writing for D'espairs. To me D'espairs just have that special quality and unique sound. Oh thats cool, I'm on Interpals talking to some Japanese people which is cool and I'm looking into going to Japan to study long term too.

That's ok I just reply when I can too on last fm... :) Oh wow that's cool! Yeah I couldn't go either. I was really hoping for a reunion - I don't know how Hizumi is though, and the other guys are in other bands now.. I'm pretty good thanks I'm learning Japanese at the moment slowly but putting a lot of effort in!

Ahh i see.. I still like Aoi his voice, but his solo work is like.. nothing for his voice. Its so poppish ;u; The same music you hear everyday on the radio. I also hope AYABIE will not wait too long with an European tour ~ ♥

Haha I think I also like AYABIE more, but I still love Ayabie alot too! ♥ and yes, Yume's voice sounds better then i thought it would be xD But i don't really like the ballads indeed, he still need practice on that part. But I think the active and happy songs fit really good with his voice! ^^

ja jeder mag pop musik daher die idee und die songs kriegen wir ja einfach hingebastelt mit unserem talent werden wir reich und berühmt! ich kann schon gut gitarre spielen und mit olegs hilfe bin ich bald auf weltstar-niveau! also geht das klar, wa? :D :D ja das mit studium haste schon erzählt schon zu lange her was ^^ du hast vollkommen recht entweder pack ich das oder such mir was anderes^^ wirtschaftsinfo ist ja auch interessant und so aber das mit mathe und c++ haut einfach nicht hin die machen da scheisse ^^ was ich dir mal noch sagen wollte: paul wollte den letzten schultag-abend mal wiederholen also mit paul und paul und du und ich und so weiter mit voller heiterkeit so wie sich das gehört ^^ wir müssen mal gucken ob wir da was einrichten können oder? ;D alles klar

ja hallo hallo wie gehts denn so !?! ja das stimmt hören tu ich auch schon länger nichts mehr .. . ich guck hier gerne mal ab und zu rein - alles klar ne :D jo wie läufts so bei mir? bei mir und oleg läuft wirtschaft ganz gut, mathe und info nich so :( vllt tu ich oder wir mal so ganz cool abbrechen ^^ eigentlich ist das ja schon interessant und die zukunft würde damit auch gut aussehen, aber bisschen schwer ist das doch schon irgendwie ... wir versuchen halt soviel wie geht, ansonsten was anderes suchen ich sag auch schon immer ich werd matrose und geh zur marine oder kunst/sport-lehrer oder designakademie! oder diplom-verwaltungswirtausbildung in güstrow oder oder oder xD ich hab auch schon den einen oder anderen getroffen und die meinten warum machst du kein zivi ich weiß nicht was ich studieren will und du studierst nen 08/15 scheiss :O man weiß nicht genau was man machen soll, ne.. wir werden sehen ^^
