That's what I thought too and didn't look much into it until I saw a forum post by this Burny guy. Heh heh, I can't imagine last.fm without combo stations now.

Oh, you can do it a much easier way. Check this blog out, [url=http://burnysblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/combofm-or-how-i-learned-to-really-love.html]ComboFM[/url]. I personally don't use the ComboFM program. He has instructions to do it the [url=http://burnysblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/combo-station-urls.html]manual[/url] way as well. You could set up tag stations with mainstream options (mainstream to obscure), discovery mode, use "not," "and," "or" variables to narrow down your station even more. I used to use the multi-tag and multi-artist flash radio on here all the time, but I hardly even touch it anymore. I think ptag, playlist, and loved are obsolete functions since today's last.fm update, though.

Have you tried using combo stations? They're so customizable, I can see it being easier accumulating new artists.

How do you find 30k artists? I noticed that only 35 of them are 0 plays (tagged I assume). So, you literally did listen to over thirty thousand artists... that is mind-boggling.

Taggingmachine: Looks up artists via the similar artists, makes a list with artists under 2000 listeners. The list is sorted to avoid doublets and another program tag the list in one go.
