Hah, that's crazy. I haven't listened to my ipod on shuffle in so long I don't even know the last time. I normally only have a playlist of 10-15 songs MAX I listen to.

Every song that is played today will always be excluded for 1 day. I hate it when a song is played 2 times a day - - - Haha, this is the complete opposite of me, I listened to a new song I added today 134x at work, bet you'd hate that. ;)

I assume it's better known in the US, it's a US developer, but I really don't know. It's been releasing annual updates for about 13 years or so, so I assume they've got a following. I'll look into Helium over the weekend. My next project is to save up for a new external drive, I'm at 99.9% capacity on 7 of them :-D

I'll give Helium a look-see; it does have a price advantage over J-River, which I think I paid $29 for. One reason why I use J-River is a silly one; it is compatible with Soundspectrum G-Force visuals, and can display album art superimposed on the G-Force visuals, which Winamp and Windows Media can't. Very trivial reason, I know... But I can't help it... :-D

Hi Stefaan-- I use J-River Media Center, which does an admirable job of managing a huge amount of files. It isn't slow, and usually doesn't get buggy (although like anything, it isn't perfect). It's a great program for other reasons too; it plays the most file formats, you can convert formats without leaving the playback window, it has good graphics, etc...
