ty ^^ yeah I know, i listen their whole discography ~ just didnt scrobble here on Last.fm after hiatus, i am boycotting site for bad management and horrible security here concerning listeners. Also my old scrobbles were deleted and lost after Last.fm updated and changed since Beta version so around 30-40% of my scrobbling is lost here. Thou I don't know how scrobbles still come since I deleted all last.fm apps, I guess something left on some device..

oh, you should listen to "pela luz dos olhos teus" from miucha and tom jobim, its a very good music, and the piano is angelical, one of my favorite brazilian musics. listen to "taj mahal" from jorge ben jor, i swear this music is incredible, brazil in general have a lot of good musicians

my favorite album of these former brazilian artists is "elis & tom" is an album with 2 legends of brazilian music, elis regina and tom jobim, each song on this album is a little piece of heaven, the first song is a 10/10, for me this album is a 9.5 or maybe a 10 i love every song on this project i would recommend it to you without thinkin two times

not that much fan though, just a dedicated listener x) Kim Roy has a really good sense for music and concepts, not to mention that he expresses it with the utmost empathy and deep thoughts. As for music language, it's original and unique be it melody be it harmony flow and depicts Korean feel for music line.

Sorry for the late reply! Ever since they changed the notification system, I always somehow lose track of message notifications. ^^' And totally agree, I miss the old last.fm too! =') I actually can't remember where exactly I saw you when I left this message, but it was probably on a Japanese or Korean artist's shoutbox. xD I've seen you around the site randomly for awhile, but I hadn't been socially active on this site since they took everyone's bios away. Only this year I got back into the swing of leaving messages in Shout boxes again, so I thought I'd finally say hi! ^^

Hi and welcome back haha :D Thanks for the tips, I'll be sure to check those songs out! I've heard the song from (G)I-DLE, but didn't know it had that kind of meaning, that's great. It's great many artists are incorporating more meaningful lyrics than just the basic love stuff. And I generally like Dreamcatcher for their rock-ish vibe, it makes them stand out among groups. My favorite k-pop song from this year so far is probably Sunmi's Heart Burn ^^

glad i could give some light on (G)I-DLE new song ^^ and about songs that have meaningful lyrics besides the usual love topic, there are plenty in K-pop also~ If you don't mind I'll share some of it in next comment. x) And gosh yeah Dreamcatcher are really unique! So you like them too?~ Rock vibe in newer K-pop isn't usual, especially after 2010s, but they are just on another level and as u've said meanings that they bring with their songs are really something. I really liked MAISON and VISION, and these songs should be really the topic of nowadays social and ecological situation on a global lvl.. the implications are so strong x.x and oh~ Sunmi's Heart Burn ~ her another piece in the saga of conceptualizing women, interesting that you heard it^^

interesting similarity in listening! x) German and Japanese artists, unusual that I came across someone listening to Dartagnan and X JAPAN! ~ As for languages, I am bilingual, Slavic. And knowing 5 languages at a decent level, and 3 at a beginner level (started learning Chinese and Thai recently). You know, what I've noticed when learning languages, the point is to learn 1 language from each language group - other languages from the same group will have much in common and you will understand them on a basic level. For example: If you know Russian or Serbian, which are Slavic languages, you'll easily understand or learn Croatian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Bosnian, Slovenian, etc. And about Dartagnan, you can find their lyrics translated on English on internet, google it~ And recently there are music videos on youtube with English subtitles included, so it's easier to listen to songs on other languages and understand what artists sing about.^^ Btw where are you from?

dear before starting to recommend music: firstly you need to have wide music experience, second don't recommend low quality music (AKA weezer), third don't disparage music styles which are great by all means. As you may notice, I am an old listener here and have been into all kinds of Asian music, including KPOP, for already 15 years. KPOP is great, diverse, experimental and brings so much into music. Can say that it started to fail quality the last 3 years because of American and Western influence and commercialization, which I highly disapprove of. But nevertheless, KPOP is amazing, be it old artists dating back to the 90s or to the most recent ones. I never listen to low-quality artists, and as a musician myself and a musicologist I always deeply explore what I listen to before indulging into it. If you don't know anything about KPOP don't talk nonsense then. After you listen at least 100 KPOP artists and their discographies, then we can talk about the quality of this music style.

Oldtimers: thereare actually quite a lot of those, I have also seen somewho scrobble since 14 years, and are active... incredible! ... Some Asian buddies introduced me to Asian music,and spotif + lastfm extended it more an dmore over time :-) Besides Asian music, I think the one consistent thing in my music since begin here at lastfm is the instrumental part (from the Korean haegum to "wood and string" (I had a lastfm group for string instruments) to my own compositions (genre: minimal/experimental) ).... 15k artists: with good music, time flies fast ;-) ... It's good that you are open-minded towards music, we all should be... What's your musical plan for this 2nd weekend in 2019? I decided, I'll play mostly lastfm/spotify recommendations, probably go with more Asian and some minimalistic, have been lazy in that area a little in 2018
