Woops, only seeing this now... I haven't listened to a lot of studio albums by Fleet Foxes because the sound doesn't 'click' but every minute of this live album hits and makes me feel euphoric. It is quite long as well so i love to listen to it during a longer bicycle trip. Do you have any album/artist that 'clicks' with you now? Does not bore you after x listens?

Hey, that's ok! I saw them live in summer 2018 and they were amazing. I think there's loads of music that's clicked with me more over the years, things sound 'new again' all of the time. I'd say recently Brill Building pop like The Ronettes sounds even more amazing, after learning about Wall of Sound production and such. The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips as well, I only ever liked Race for the Prize but now I finally 'get' the whole record. I think an album that never ceases to bore me is probably Song Cycle by Van Dyke Parks hence my 1.7k scrobbles on it haha. It's been my favourite album of all time for 5 years now and it's so dense and manic there is always something new to discover in it. How about yourself?

i think you may like the music of the brazilian group magic crayon? the early EPs are fuzzy and nice. if you've enjoyed what you've heard of hood, the famous boyfriend is an associated group that's cool, too. otherwise, blueboy is an absolute classic. i'd love it if you could recommend me some things as well!

smh, it is roosbeef ;( you probably won't like much it because the lyrics in dutch and it's quite singer-songwriter. music itself is not very exciting imo. went to see her live in may and it was goodo. live band was nice and she sang well. she seems a bit quirky and i love that. are you also going to live concerts of music you re listening (screamo etc) ?

agh, I forgot to respond this. glad you're having fun with live shows! A lot artists bring a different sort of energy live, which makes me fall in love with them even more. Specifically with screamo, shows tend to be so much more powerful in that vocals take the forefront, while that is not always the case in studio recordings. For example, I was not that enamored by øjne's recorded output before I saw them. But the vocalist (and the band) delivered such a powerful, commanding performance live, that I couldn't help but fall in love with them. This ends up being the case for more hardcore/grindcore - artists have a unique way of communicating their art, and I feel witnessing it live is the best way to experience it!

Jaaa, maar dat is wel heel toevallig hoor. Iemand noemde hen de Japanse 'The Sundays'. Dus toen hebben we het compilatie album 'Have a good journey' geluisterd. Ik was bang voor suikerzoete twee, maar het viel best mee. 'So' vond ik het leukst geloof ik (?). Maar Stereolab en Cocteau Twins zijn ook twee topbands, dan maakt Low niet zoveel uit ;)

GNOD ziet er interessant uit, ga ik checken! Ik heb een lijst met albums die ik wil luisteren, en die wordt maar langer en langer. Er komt geen einde aan. Wat ik soms leuk vind om te doen is een random album op Bandcamp luisteren (wat bij een genre staat wat mij aanspreekt). En anders een random album van een goed label. Er is nog zoveel onbekends aaa. Misschien kan je in een genre duiken waar je nog nooit naar geluisterd hebt, dan sta je geheid niet meer droog xD.

'Just Say No to the Psycho Right-Wing Capitalist Fascist Industrial Death Machine' is de pakkende titel voor GNOD's briljantste album. Klinkt een beetje als SWANS hier en daar.....
