we've got friends in el paso texas. looked up their address on google earth. looked like a vast housing estate on the moon. in summer, they plant plastic flowers and bushes because nowt will grow there. no rain in 18 months. they came here this summer and spent hours up the welsh valleys just looking at the green hills. green is rare in el paso.
