Yes, fully agree with you that they should focus on bandcamp and last.fm's role as a way to promote your band plus perhaps give options to review tracks and albums like on rym. That would be a nice addition imho.

Whelp, turns out I'm not going to Messe anyhow. My main motivation was Darkspace, and with them gone.. not really worth the trip for me. Saw Archgoat at MDF this year, and seeing Revenge at MDF next year. Mgla frankly I've never been a huge fan of, so.. yeah, you enjoy. Should be awesome seeing the former two tear it up in an intimate setting though.

Thanks man! I'll try to get to a good portion of those tonight. And yeah, Agalloch is coming up! I am not the most excited for it since my Agalloch loving days are kind of behind me but it will be a great nostalgia act for me. Although the most exciting show coming up is Swans. I missed them the first time, and of course, I am a huge Swans/Michael Gira fan so I'm going to be in heaven.

I am very familiar with bands like DSO, Ulcerate, Old Man Gloom, Portal, Antediluvian, Mitochondrion (the only one there I don't care for much), Swans, Mgla, and somewhat Circle of Ouroboros. If you can give me the best recommendations of the rest, I'd appreciate that. I have been losing interest in metal as of late except for my favourites.
