You're so lucky to have seen Type O Negative live. My husband and I briefly considered going to a show they had in Tennessee (about a 6 hour drive from us) a couple of years ago but we decided against us since our daughter was still a baby and we weren't comfortable leaving her with a babysitter overnight. I haven't read Henry Miller (yet?) so it's hard to compare. I'm not sure if you'd like Alina Reyes though. Her writing is very feminine. My favourite book by her is "Lilith" and it deals with the woman's place in history and society. Not as boring as it sounds, as she embraces the independence and promiscuity of Lilith, who was Adam's first wife, equal to him, made out of whatever Adam was made and not out of one of his organs. I love this clash of biblical reference and a multitude of penises and blowjobs on every page. It's pretty nihilistic and hedonistic but there's so much more to her writing than just sex scenes. Makes you look at the world from a completely new perspective. You might try reading "The Butcher". If you ever do, please let me know if you liked it. :)
