It’s been almost 4 years since my last shout… what’s new? Seriously though, I’d like to ask you to do me a favor. Please scrobble something from artist name Tomomi Midair World. Anything will do. I’d like for her to get enough listeners to be on the similar artist lists.

And Sing Into My Mouth... another one of your recommendations... anything in that list is worth checking out, Texas Gentlemen are now on the playlist, might be a few days before I get to them though...

If you haven't got Spotify scribbling again... Go to Settings and then to Applications... click on the relevant Spotify options.

Need to listen to BCC again as I was too distracted to listen properly, quite like the new Foos but still too early to tell for me, take 5-6 listens before I can make a call...

Probably similar to the comments above, interesting listen but not one I'd rush back to! :)

I haven't heard any solo gilmour... but until this year I hadn't even been a Pink Floyd fan. I've been working my way through their catalogue, starting with wish you were here and then dark, side, and animals. Next up is the wall, and then perhaps the earlier albums. I haven't heard final cut.

I have the opposite problem, so much stuff I want to get to and not enough time! I'll add it to the list though :)

Another gem from Jason Isbell and the 400. Have you heard it yet? What did you think?

Yeah quite liked it, not saying it will go on heavy rotation but enjoyable enough, reminded me a bit of Marillion at times

I was meaning to ask you about them too, I was going through the Lizzy catalog last week, not that crazy about the early stuff, starts getting good around Fighting, but then they have some gems tucked in their earlier albums like Whiskey in the Jar. What are your thoughts, am I missing something?

It's typical Grandaddy so if you like Software then no reason to think you wouldn't like the new one, I'd also recommend Sumday and Fambly Cat...

Hey dude, yeah Bowie, I dunno, I get lost around the Berlin trilogy, I like a lot of songs from that era but the albums kind of leave me cold at that point except maybe for Low which is pretty awesome. As far as faves go, I think everything up through Diamond Dogs is the Tits except maybe for the very first Bowie album. I also really like Let's Dance but I also like a lot of the eighties stuff and it's fun to listen to. Don't know if I mentioned it but saw Tift Merritt a couple weeks ago, she was awesome, very nice person too, got a signed vinyl lp of her new album.

I know Tyson listens to her, and looking it up I see I have 25 scrobbles but I can't recall them. Any 1 album in particular you recommend? I tell you what I'll listen to whichever album you pick out and if you're game you listen to Mary Margaret O 'Hara - Miss America. I had it for a DB club album pick shortly before you joined -I think you'll like it.

I think it's pretty much run its course - my throat is fine now, temp is normal and I'm beginning to be able to taste and smell things... big improvement from last week, this being the third week since it began. The first week wasn't all that bad but last week was terrible.

Every now and then reality calls. I don't know if this would interest you but Kate's 1979 Hammersmith show is on YouTube and it's truly something else.

We go driiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiving into the moonlight. Really, one of the prime examples of escapist song I can think of. Just reach up and touch it... due to revisit it myself.

I've been looking into it and from everything I've read I'm pretty sure I can't share the files on any system that isn't using my login. I've been getting the itch for Gabriel's So album (which along with Melt has a Kate appearance... I really do like Gabriel himself lol but what the hay) and also The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
操作
-
stupidstuff
Yeah I know... there are only a few Gabriel songs on Spotify USA. I bought it from itunes (I'm typically buying one album per month) but I don't know if it's transferable as I don't think I have I have actual MP3 files. If I can I will...

Yeah, I've listened to Sturgill Simpson a couple of times and i quiet like it. It's a bit different to what I was expecting but first impressions were good enough for me to give it another go. Checking out some new music by Nashville based proggers "Evership"... interesting stuff.

I'm not a good judge of things Kate, but what do you think of this: for as long as it is it's very easy to play Before the Dawn in its entirety (assuming one has the time.)

The singer has a finely honed musical ear. He is discussing Hounds of Love on a Kate documentary. Actually I'm listening to everyone in the documentary and even all those who are just mentioned. I've heard some good music I probably wouldn't have otherwise. OTOH I also listened to Public Image Lmtd... terrible... should've gone with the Sex Pistols.

On first listen I'm impressed with Suede. It's dense and layered, and I can think offhand of anyone that sounds particularly similar. Then again, I'm not too familiar with Britpop and that's what they are most often classified as being along with Oasis, Pulp and so on... well whatever, I'll definitely be listening to them again.

RE: MLB... I was listening to it off Spotify. Enjoyed it, will definitely give it another go. Enjoyed Whiskey Myers too. Happy New Year to you.

Do you happen to have any Suede albums? I'd like to hear them but Spotify doesn't have them.

No kidding? Have to look for that one, I'm a big fan of hers. I just bought tickets to see her in February at place that only holds about 350 people, I'm hoping I'll be able to get something signed. Are you listening to all those albums you're posting about? That's a heck of an undertaking, I usually just look at them and say "yep, heard that one" :)

I walked, round trip probably at least 8 miles to get aerial when it came out. I got home, took off my shoes, cursed my blistered feet and then played aerial only to be disappointed. I couldn't get into it all. I wanted it to be something far different. I remained ambivalent about it until last year. Now it's to the point of perhaps being my favorite Kate album. This year I finally awakened to the red shoes. I am very much looking forward to Lily leading it all off. What a strange song. There is a wonderful official video for it. Anyway happy listening tonight.
