  We don't appear to have much in common in terms of musical taste other than enquiring minds. With that said you could try, via Bandcamp, the Sahel sounds and Analogue Africa record labels. With over 120 years of recorded music from almost every corner of the world there is almost endless choice and not enough time to hear it all.

    Thanks for the reply and recs! For fun and even more curiosity I went through you first 50 top artist to see where we have some similarities. First one I see is Hank WIlliams with the song Jambalaya sitting near the top, one of my favorites. The marvelous Celina Y Reutillio are also on your list. I love, love, love La Casa De Yagua, Celina's voice absolutely shines on this one and the simple yet entrancing percussive piano is beautiful. There's also the Grateful Dead's Dark Star on your list. My favorite version of this song is the 20+ minute intro version on the Live/Dead album version. I'm about to browse some of the labels you rec'd and pick up some albums right now. Thanks again

    Also, I've done 2 rotations so far of the music i grabbed from your profile. It's a way for me to use last.fm profiles to find music. I go through each user playlist 10 times. It takes me a while to accomplish this in order allow for me to aptly digest the music.
