Music compatibility is 'Very Low'. I don't even recognise most of the bands you listen to and I thought I had a fair knowledge of black metal and whatnot! Goes to show what I know (not much). Cheers!

Yeh, Heretic was a massive let down, the presence they normally have was just not there. Cant say I have heard Necrophagists first album, may have to check it out. Yeh I did notice! I have next to no BM in my collection, aside from the original Stormblast, A Blaze in the Northen Sky and a 1349 album. Also have a CD by Satyricon but I dont know how many regard them as proper BM these days.

Ah thats reminded me of two more bands I had forgotten about, Obscura are indeed really good, as are Gorguts, but the only album I have heard of theirs is 'From Wisdom to Hate, which was a great listen. See, Tech Death has only really come into the forefront in the past few years, Necrophagist are arguably another example, although they lean more to the DM stable in my opinion. Bah, genres! As far as DM goes, Morbid Angel are easily my favourites, Covenant and Domination are great bits of work, shame the new album is taking seemingly forever to come out.

Air horn popularized by Radio 1? ....??????? really?!??? LOL you are wayyyy off. He used it on his album because it was used all the time at raves back in 92 and earlier.

same -- I was usually in the industrial room. username ruhztee or geisttanz, most likely. how bizarre, though. I started listening to them back then when Hollow Psalms came out. my friend mentioned them to me yesterday so I had to revisit.

Me and my mate just saw it and thought looked like a good possible festival to go to due to him probably not being able to go to Hellfest again next year that and we want to see Mayhem as ive never seen them before and he says there good and well we also would love to see Kreator again

Hahaha, not very kvlt but they're some of my favourites too, though it's so hard for me to choose a favourite Smiths song D: they're pretty much all great.

I was also surprised by the low attendance, especially on a Friday night. Yeah, it is quite a trek, hopefully be a good show though. Sorry, haha. I don't 'love' many tracks, We All Faulter is probably my favourite Jesu song actually, though I love so much of his stuff. You don't appear to have listened to The Smiths, which is disappointing hah. Nice tastes though.

:) Nachtmystium were ace too weren't they? I was indeed standing to the right of the stage, so undoubtedly it was me that you saw, though my dp doesn't give much indication as to what I actually look like haha. I see you're going to WitTR too, ace.

Bwahaha, thwarted by last.fm! Thanks for the recommendation though, I've downloaded it and will give it a listen later. I have an Autumnblaze album kicking around somewhere but I had no idea they were still going. Hope you had a good xmas btw and that santa brought you something exciting!

Luckily I don't think I was one of those particular slags barging into you. By about 8pm the floor had become so sticky from spilled drinks that I wasn't able to move anymore. I nearly had to leave my shoes behind. Having some kind of height must be useful at gigs though... there are several bands that I've heard but not seen. I'd be a better candidate for chimney sweeping than you though, so like everything in nature, it balances out. PS what is Circle of Ouroborus and is it any good? I'd like some Twisted Fruit of Doom, but only if it's ripe.

Well it's always nice to get through another day without being accosted! But between all this "Pirate Hogan" business and there being other people out there that look like me, I'm feeling quite dizzy. Were you there for the whole thing? I was over to the left and for a while I didn't think it was going to get too crowded, but then I realised I couldn't inhale without sucking someone else's hair up my nose. I hate that.

Hmm, the only moustached and bandannered bloke I knew of was on stage during Shining's set. I had a Susperia hoodie, black hair, tattoo on my right arm -- I'm the kind of person who doesn't get taken seriously by bank managers and estate agents. Like most people at the gig. It did occur to me at one point that it's virtually impossible to spot someone you've never met before in a dark room, especially when you don't really know what they look like. We'll have to try harder next time! The gig was good though, Satyricon still more appealing live than on record. Shining were good, Dark Fortress seemed a bit lacking but I loved the singer's blouse. I'm sure I've seen one like it in M&S.

Ah yeah Kvarforth is a bit of a knob, but I can forgive that for some of the hilarious promo photos he's done, mainly the ones in the bath. It's like black metal sponsored by Radox. Anyway I hope you enjoy Absu tonight, I have to make my way to Leamington Spa because for some reason I'm seeing Cannibal Corpse there tonight. I don't even know where Leamington Spa is. Nor do I really like Cannibal Corpse. But whatever. Signing off now, be back Thursday, hope your kitty does some nice poos for you!

I was going to write a comment entirely about cat poo, but then I remembered that it's not as interesting to other people as it is to me :( Anyway yeah I went to Mithras, it was a good gig even though they're not really my style. Now I hear that NB have pulled out of the Satyricon show too, and I wonder if it's something I said. Still, at least Shining will be on hand to give us razor blades if we get too upset.

Oh I see, we're last.fm neighbours! I'm usually a pretty bad neighbour, I tell my cats to go and poo in other people's gardens, and I play loud music all night... sorry. The Absu and Satyricon shows are going to be great though! I'm actually really looking forward to seeing Razor Of Occam next week with Absu, although I assume they'll be on first (?). It's a shame Nachtmystium aren't on the tour any more. And Paradise Lost are always worth seeing, even if they are a bit predictable.
