Yeah redneck stuff is always awful, and all the equivalents of that stuff in other countries. Do you live in a big or a small town? lol I looked up where Ohio is and was a bit surprised. I always thought it's somewhere east of Nevada... Geographyfail there on my part. I thought all the north-east states are less countryside and hillbilly.

Okay my bad, I have searched for "Mighty Few" and not "Mightyfew" now I find something. I am listening to "Exactly One Mile", not sure what to think about it, I am getting the feeling that their mix of alternative metal and nu metal didn't go as well as they had planned for, at least to me it sounds odd and the screams / shouts are very poor, but I like those dissonant riffing sections they do from time to time in this song (even if they are just short sections). I am more into [artist]Etched In Red[/artist] you might have heard of them.

Until now I haven't, but I tried to listen to them, but my researches didn't do me no good. No bandcamp page, their last.fm page has only 11 listeners, seems to be some really obscure band :D. If you have a link for me, I can listen to it.

Oh I know them, I have listened to them back in my ultimative New Metal days, sadly after time went on I disliked their sound more and more, of course he had a good shouting / singing voice and I will never forget about Broken Promises from the Need for Speed era. I also think that they have disbanded after their "The Bear" Ep.

No problem, feel free to recommend me anything you think I might like (you might have seen that I also like New Metal, as long as it's good enough :) )

Ultraspank, it's been a long time that I have heard their name, or saw their name. Yes is of course some really famous prog rock band, if you ever feel like coming back, those bands like Yes will get you kicked :D but take it easy, take it slow, and if you ever are in need of new recommendations just drop me a shout.

You also have a good taste, doesn't happen very often to see someone who is totally into New Metal :). But I am bit sad. after you left Obscure Music Game but I can't blame you, it's really hard to not get kicked, it's not for everyone.

yea, i was gonna leave too after i became champion for like two seconds...lol. i might just leave now anyway because it's too stressful to try to keep up with these champions who have like 60k artists. At least you have bands I've never heard of! : P

I feel like an old man but I grew up w/a CD player and physically buying the CD's which was a good thing because you made an actual investment in the work and it incentivized listening to the entire disc. Bands you can listen to basically everything by are keepers to me and the ones who've had the longest careers/released the most albums rank higher just because longevity is impressive as. opposed to a band that faded away after 2 CDs... try to find those bands if Ya can. It took me from the age you are to my age now (25) to feel I've "completed" my collection basically. meaning I don't see any new bands becoming anything I'll be interested in... I've found all the ones I love

I remember buying No. 4 by Stone Temple Pilots when I was around your age... 2 of my favorite albums when I was that age were also "Animosity" by Sevendust and "Untouchabkes" by Korn... great songs and really unique heavy guitar sounds. One thing that 'changed my life' was buying a high end pair of headphones like the Bose QC3 model. You'll never think about music the same w/a pair of headphones like that or be bored lol.

That's awesome, bud. I think you're on the right track when it comes to music... I appreciate you complimenting my charts when you saw them. I hand-picked all those artists and am really quite proud of those discoveries. That was all music I found on my own (other than a few that my parents had me listening to, growing up...) I've heard every band/artist in hard rock/metal imaginable and after 25 years, this is the stuff I believe is the absolute best. Do you have any particular favorite bands right now or are you just checking all of this music out? Back when I was your age Korn was my favorite band and I fell back in love with them just last year!

That is awesome, bud! My advice is to just keep at it! Keep writing and developing your skills/talents musically... by the time you're 18 or 21 you'll probably be amazing. I started playing guitar at about 15 (which was late but my life was consumed with sports before that) but now at 25 Im finally confident in how I play and what I could potentially write. it takes years of practice to become great but you're starting at a great age. if it's what you enjoy or love... just keep at it!

I coached a basketball team a year ago of kids who were like 10 or so I definitely remember that age. You seem like a cool kid! Follow your heart... seems like you're on a good path, already.

You're probably smarter than all them lol. Nothing wrong with being different but it's tough at your age. I've (for the most part) listened to the same type of music since I was your age and even some of the stuff I love was passed down from my folks and my dads a musician. I only had a few friends who "got it" but we ended up being the best of friends because of this music and traveling/seeing concers together. obviously I'm biased but I don't think it's music for followers or people that just desperately want to fit in. I think it attracts deeper, more introspective and creative types of people . at least from my experience attending close to 200 concers and working on a couple of tours across the country. Stick with it, buddy!

Cool man. damn, 11, huh. lol... well it's cool that you seem to like/appreciate some of these "older" bands... With what's popular now (all stuff I really can't stand) I've wondered if the next generation of kids would even know who some of these great bands, even are!

The only mosh pit I spent any time in was seeing Sevendust and LJ always says "if someone gets knocked down, please help them back-up"... Nothingface was one of the 5 best shows I've ever seen! They opened up with the song "Breathe Out" and the way that song builds... it was one of the most out of control and intense experienced I've ever had. They closed with "Blue Skin" and "Villains" so I remember their set list was amazing. still one of my favorite bands ever, just wish they made at least one more album when they were reunited in 2006 and in 2010-2011. I've become pretty decent friends with Tom Maxwell the bands guitar player. Where do you live, man? I started going to shows right around Age 15. I don't think there's as many good ones as there once was but I'd definitely recommend seeing something like a Sevendust show. I've seen them over 10x'

Thanks brother! I've tried really hard to discover the best stuff I could over the years lol. When I was 16, I saw Nothingface's 2nd to last show and I barely made it out alive, haha!!!

I guess schools don't change much in the world. I used to hate physical education the most. Or maybe it's called sports in the states. The only tolerable stuff there was skiing. Spanish is good to know. So many latinos in the world, and they usually don't understand english, lol.

I wonder why they couldn't allow users over something like 9 years of age anyway... Maybe it's explained somewhere in the website rules, but I'm too lazy to look for that stuff. Anyway what kind of stuff do you have to study at school? I wonder if it's at all the same as what I had back in the days.

It'd be easier to communicate if you'll reply on user's "shoutboxes", instead of replying in your own shoutbox, it's not like FB where you can get a notification when someone replied to your comment lol :) So how exactly did you get in to this kind of music??? As for what Vevet_Myx said, i have to disagree...i actually do think it's UNUSUAL for 11 y/o to be a nu metal fan nowadays, because you were just born when this kind of music started to fade away.

Oh yeah I should have figured that out. Factory 81 is a nice band. Peace Officer is probably my favourite song from them.

Makes sense, and I got the Factory part of my name from one of my favorite bands names, Factory 81.

Hello FactoryConnor! Where does the Factory come from in your name? What do other people of your age usually listen to? I don't see a lot of 11 year olds listening to NuMetal. I don't think it's weird though, I listened to nu metal/rapcore since I was like 9 or something too.
