What is TCE to me? I'm the editor/Publisher. ;) So, any recommendations from the industrial side of your library?

Hello Daxis! It's been a long time... I hope that you're still doing great! I wanted to let you know that the latest EP of Betray-Ed was online! It's folk/acoustic music, and I really think you might like it. I would really love, as usual, to get your honest opinion :-) Here is the link to listen to it via last.fm : [url=http://www.last.fm/music/Betray-Ed/A+Poem+%28EP%29]A Poem (EP)[/url] or to download it directly from [url=http://www.mediafire.com/?fznl0xme5m19omn]mediafire[/url]. I hope to read from you soon. All the best!

Hey, thanks for dropping by because thats what it's all about. I see you are blasting Mortiis now, what do you think of it? My favourite Mortiis album is [album artist=Mortiis]The Smell of Rain[/album] and the first track [track artist=Mortiis]Scar Trek - Parasite God[/track] classic stuff. Where you lucky enough to see him perform live in support of [artist]Deathstars[/artist] back in April '07?

I have the same opinion about lyrics/singing language of bands as you. Sometimes I would go even so far as state that some bands would be better if they wouldn't write lyrics at all, just vocal melodies. Highlights of DDF 2010... well I've mentioned Phoenix Catscratch already, 13th Moon, Birth!, The Last Days Of Jesus, Näd Mika, Castrati, Gertrud Stein and of course Zounds (one of my alltime faves which doesnt exactly show here on last.fm :)) were very good. Birth!, Näd Mika and Gertrud Stein are electronic, the rest are roknrol. I was suprised that the festival had so many bands I liked and Phoenix Catscratch playing on the last day just was excellent. Did I mention yet that I really like Phoenix Catscratch ;)

I think that in reality they wouldn't have had any chance to make it abroad even if they've tried. Also them losing Jore after the first album (even though I do like the second album also) would have not made it any easier. They were punks from Helsinki and practically no one in Finland had any experience with foreign markets. Some progrock managers perhaps but thats it. So getting the band known in the middle Europe would've been really hard despite the quality of the material. Funnier thing is that IMO Musta Paraati is still quite unknown in the deathrock circles even though they tend to support quality bands singing in their native languages. But if you look at the post-punk bands from that era there is only two or three bands that did make it in english speaking countries. It is a bit of a shame though. I would have loved to see a Siekiera album released by 4AD for example. Sorry if I'm rambling, it's late and I got the flu after getting back from Lithuania (which was excellent).

I think it's a pity that Irish isn't spoken on regular basis in Ireland- after all it's the the first language of the country, chronologically at least it came there before English... As far as I know it's still one of the official languages, isn't it? My German is almost non-existant, even though I was taught that language for at least 6 years (or even more...)

Barbarian Pipe Band is an Italian folk band making use of pipes and drums- I really like this kind of folk music :) If you give them a try and like them I can also recommend you Auli, a similar band from Latvia. As to Ireland, I would like to be able to see its landscapes and get to know the country's history and culture. Plus, as I'm interested in language protection issues I would also like to learn a few things about Irish concerning efforts towards its preservation (and possibly also to learn the language itself).

I can see quite a lot of Vernian Process in your list. So far I've only listened to their 1st album but I really like its dark and disturbing athmosphere. Epecially "Zeitgeist" with the sound of the ticking clock set against ominous melody. Btw. I would like to visit Ireland one day :)
