I'm testing to see how accurate Last.fm's assessment of 'musical compatibility' is. For the most part they've been quite low, completely missing the mark in many cases. In your case they're fairly accurate... even displaying the Cocteau Twin's & the Cure's songs which we both hold quite high. (Don't feel you have to reply) Thank you.

Yeah, Dead Can Dance always crop up on my playlist at least a few times each week :) I had my heart set on seeing Lisa Gerrard in Paris last November but I couldn't go because of work :( Her voice is so incredible & the Silver Tree is such a beautiful album :)

Pinback is considered 'indy' or 'indy rock' (although genre labeling is always kind of ambiguous). Beautiful harmonies, technical guitar work, very versatile band in general. Most all of their songs sound different. They are one of those bands that you either LOVE them or you don't like them at all. Try out 'Loro', 'Penelope', 'Barnes', 'Seville' to name some of my favorites.
