Not so stupid. They're quite technical in their own way concerning standard deathcore. They have decent amout of complex riffs, they also frequently using odd time signatures and dissonant chords. Last fm is old and so this tag for them. Which normal deathcore band could offer the same thing back then? Whitechapel? Suicide Silence? Carnifex? I don't think so. DI's music is pretty complex within the framework of standard deathcore. So there is nothing illogical calling them technical.
