@CzechHunter: Well they're not your typical band that falls under the visual kei term. X started out as a simple (speed) metal band and back then there was no such thing as visual kei. Only many years later after Yoshiki founded Extasy Records and Dynamite Tommy established Free Will to sign then-unknown bands, the vk movement began to form slowly. As far as I know the term 'visual kei' wasn't even really used to describe these bands until the mid 90s when the media started to pay more attention to the scene and "visually striking" bands like SHAZNA or MALICE MIZER started to appear on mainstream TV shows. So X may be one of the important influences, but they never said "Hey we're X and we are a visual kei band".
