I'd say this would be distinct from (harsh) noise in being made with techniques other than simple feedback etc but at the sort of tape manipulation, concrete "classical" avant-garde end of the spectrum instead (and probably glitch too). How people generally use this is anyone's guess though. I don't think noise rock, space rock (certainly not dream pop...) or anything made with simple instruments etc should be here or in similar tags, otherwise why bother
