Any interesting new trends in music so far in 2019? Any new sub-genres? Or some revivals of old genres? Years ending in 9 tend to feature new trends or the death of old trends, so I am certain some interesting things must be happening, or may happen later this year.

I'm actually loving the new decade :) Quarantine was fun, I didn't have to interact with a lot of people, exams were easy, I had a lot of time for my hobbies and got into exercising and cooking. Never got covid either.

Nevertheless, I see a few encourage signs that, putting world events aside, this year may have some potential to be the best year of the 2010s. Hopefully that potential will be realised.

Talking to myself, but anyway: the global events have been awful so far, but my own personal life has been pretty good so far. Haven't checked out any 2019 music albums yet, but I consider every year to be a great year for music, and I'll get around to 2019 music eventually (although given that I'm only lately starting to get into 1990s music, it may take a while).

They should also put more classic 1890s-1990s films on the streaming services during 2019. They have some so far, but they've still barely scratched the surface of mankind's film output.

There's also a lot of out-of-print books, out-of-print music albums, out-of-print video games etc which need to be made more readily available. I think it's a shame that so much of mankind's output is unavailable to enjoy.
